Love, love, love the tattoo! I enjoyed both stories by Tolstoy a lot and they were so fast to read. I feel like every major artist repeats him or herself over and over throughout their work in some way or another (even Dickens). There is something that they are passionate about and they get stuck in exploring that over and over (and if it's not your thing, you'll get annoyed or you might be like yes! this is why I came here). In any form of art really, I'm thinking Wes Anderson, Warhol, Gaudí, Austen, Rodin, Tolstoy of course, etc, etc. So I agree, I would recommend them to Tolstoy fans but not necessarily if you don't like him then what is the point lol.

Hi Carolyn ! Thank you so much for this vidéo. I’m Sylvette from France. For the pronounciation of Guy de Maupassant, you said it right except for the first name. In french we pronounce « Guy » like « see » (sorry i don’t know phonetic so i used my own way lol) and not « hi ». Sorry if i have made mistakes in my message, as i am not fluent in American. If you like Maupassant, i highly recommand « une vie ». It is one of my favorite book ever. 💚📚

bel ami! my favourite classic i read last year and one of my favourite reviews i've ever filmed! i read it after a professor i'm very close to (she's one of the young ones so she loves interacting with fellow students) recommended it to me after one of our long chats on literature! it's an amazing story and maupassant's writing style is super accessible! it's a story on ambition and corruption, super fascinating to explore. i'm a huge fan of the author and his psychologial portraits are mind blowing. i hope you love it. also his name is pronounced as /gi/ :) and yes, i'd love it if you added an individual tattoo option!

The Anna Karenina novel plays a big part in the story. :). Bel Ami is a great book. My favorite book by Guy is A Life . Bear Town was not for me
