Kings Highway is a major thoroughfare in Brooklyn that runs east-west through the borough. The section of Kings Highway from Homecrest to Bay Parkway is approximately 1.5 miles long, and is home to a diverse array of businesses and residences.
Starting at Homecrest Avenue, Kings Highway is lined with several small businesses, including restaurants, shops, and offices. As I head west, the street becomes more residential, with a mix of attached and detached houses, apartment buildings, and co-ops.

Hi, I lived 24 years in New York city, including in this area of Brooklyn...How many times I walked to these places that you show in this video clip. Now I am living in my home city Tbilisi ( Capital city of Georgia, country of the Black Sea region of Europe in the Caucasus) for a year and a half, but having lived in New York for 24 years, this city has become a part of my life, with all its pro and cons...I have my photo/ pictures, albums from different parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and so on., with its diverse architecture, the characters of these different places in the city of New York...

@@FPSTiger Here is my answer/ reply for your question: Because New York City is a very expensive city to live in, for a most of people (of course, not for the rich, very rich people), for small and medium businesses (due to the very high prices for renting space), all the funds goes towards very expensive housing, well, the rest of the finances for the rest initial things of our life, for taxes in New York City and so on and so forth...

The Kings Highway now that's really going back in time . Yet another historic walk with so much to see . Those crossing are tricky for someone like me to cross , I would have to follow the other pedestrians to get around but they work a treat.

Midwood, Kensington, Madison, Marine Park., Gerristen Beach also have a lot of Jewish though not as many as Borough Park. There are a lot of Kosher restaurants, too. Many Dunkin Donut restaurants are Kosher in those areas too. N train in West 8th Street, F train in McDonald Avenue, Q and B trains in East 15th Street are servicing Kings Highway. There are a few buildings between Bay Parkway and Stillwell Avenue are newly built.

Mostly everyone in NYC depends on walking or public transportation, and having stores at close proximity makes it easier to go shopping often with just a cart or bags. No need to buy in bulk and drive unless you're going to a Costco or something.
