I hope they preserve 6365 before it’s too late! I really want this bus to be part of the museum fleet, We should probably get a whole group of transit fans and tell them the whole history about 6365 and preserve it.

Also, several of these buses (6589-6624) were transferred from Fresh Pond to the then-new Grand Avenue Depot In 2008, then were sent to East NY Depot a while later. In 2018, buses 6590-6595, 6597-6601, 6603-6606 were sent back to Fresh Pond Depot. Then some of the 6490-65xx buses were sent to East New York Depot.

Man oh man, do I remember seeing these for the first time back in Spring/Summer 2004. I was riding on the B51 bus at the time heading to City hall (it was a 1990/1991 repowered TMC RTS

The 2004 - 05 units are my most favorite Orion VII HEVs. The CNG versions of these are my least favorites, toooo bad !!! These buses reminds me of 2007, when I flew from Haiti🇭🇹 amd first rode these sets out of ENY Depot(the B17 route as my first home route of NYC). Speaking of that, I recently transferred to ENY Depot(dispatcher) and I am excited to take control of these with my cousin. I miss my OGs from Quill and #6745(not one of these in this video) was my first Quill OG HEV I got on. Excellent job on this review.

I think I saw a few of these buses in the 2011 Smurfs movie. I also saw one in Captain America The First Avenger. But it changed to a 2008 - 2010 Orión VII. These are good Manhattan Buses and they’re pretty iconic in a few movies.
