No Kim K is apprenticing under attorneys . The process is called reading law. Search This is most commonly referred to as "reading the law," and people who choose this nontraditional path are known as "law readers." Currently, the seven states that offer this option are California, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, New York, Maine, and Wyoming.

OMG I know this is a old video but you helped so much! I just quit my job as a 911 dispatcher and also have a degree in Criminal justice/criminology. I am now lost and looking for a legal assistant or a paralegal job to see if I like the law side. I was literally looking everywhere for someone with the same experience as me! Transitioning from a police dispatcher to a paralegal !

Having a degree or a certificate also shows ur serious about making this in to a career. Employers know u have some knowledge regarding terminology.
