@@digitus78 I have that luxury. Don't worry. It's a powerful graphics card but you're not missing out on much because most games out right now are not that amazing graphically. Dying Light 2 is a very demanding game but it's not that impressive graphically. Hopefully they will update it to perform better because there are quite a few games that look better and perform quite a bit better too. It is good for playing most games in 4k max settings with a high framerate but that's about it.

This looks like a really nice case! I just wish I had any confidence left in the company doing the right thing if anything went wrong with it. If the included cooling leaked, or the power supply had an issue or anything else, I think they've proved that they'd try to cover it up rather than notify customers that it might damage their other hardware or home, let alone take responsibility for damage it cause.

My gripe with the nzxt situation, is the fact that the company really dragged its heels even when incidents of it were being reported, and trying multiple "band-aid" patches before being forced to recall the lot; even then, I wouldn't be surprised if there is someone out there with one of these cases, with the original, flaming connector. I need only point at how Fractal handled their own situation with the fan controller in the Torrent, to be a reference in how that incident _should have been handled_ in the first place.

Meh, they've got A LOT of recovery to do for me to even consider buying from them again. Their completely unacceptable response to the first fire issue told me all I need to know about the company. Agreed. It wasn't the fact that they had a problem, it was the piss poor way they handled it. Fractal had the same problem, but they started taking care of it before anyone really found out. If NZXT had just done that, they wouldn't be the butt of so many jokes and have such low consumer confidence. This "new H1" looks like a decent improvement, but NZXT is still a company I don't want to give money to at the moment. Honestly, I think the only thing that would make me trust them again is if they manage to put out _another_ fire hazard but handle it properly this time. Then I could see "oh, they did learn from their mistake, they're a better company now." Yeah they fixed the riser cable eventually, but the riser cable stopped being the problem when they dragged it out so long that adding the "eventually" was warranted. Otherwise it's like "gee, do I take the risk and buy a product that might be dangerously defective and not get fixed unless they get dragged by tech media multiple times?" and the answer to that is always no.

I really wanted to do a build in this case. Especially after seeing Jay's video where he made the purple one and gave a step by step on how to paint the case. Unfortunately, the really poor thermals and the fire hazard kept me from doing so. And there were other SFF cases that I was debating on, but none ever really caught my eye like the H1. Definitely going to wait and see if Jay does an in-depth review for this one on the temps. Different cards, 92mm fan in vs out. Dust filters in/out etc. If he gives it a thumbs up I might finally pull the trigger on it.

I had a good experience with my two H1's. No fires, of course. Riser cables were shipped to me and my only complaint is that I had to reach out to NZXT to get them. But once I did I received the parts with zero trouble. Additionally, I had a problem for a few weeks with one AIO pump and CPU temps in the 80's after over a year in service. NZXT authorized an RMI in spite of the time in service. Luckily, simply rotating the pump a few times got it working properly so it must have been air-locked, but the point is the company was ready to stand behind their product even beyond their warranty period.

If the temps are good and if I could get a card at a decent price I would definitely go for the new H1, I’m actually looking to replace my gaming laptop with a SF PC and this would fit quite nicely.

So sad they removed the one feature that made this so unique: the random combustion. (Well it is unique unless you are using a Gigabyte PSU) I thought they double down and give use RGB fire. But nope. They just take it out and deliver a good product this time. I hate when companies do that.

@@mjc0961 Well, explosion is also a form of combustion, is it not? But I know what you mean. While you get a warm cozy fire in and around your PC that you can enjoy for a long time, with the old H1. The Gigabyte PSU gives you just this short "zimp" and then the show is already over. If you've not been in the room you missed it.

I'm sharing my desk with my new NZXT H1 (v1 but I bought my own Noctua fan and did the same mod as the v2 and I still have the Tempered Glass front). The case/PSU/AIO combo purchased for 199.99 directly from NZXT. I put a R7 5700g (for the 8/16 cores) and a RTX 3060 12gb. It's a perfectly adequate system and it looks great. I replaced my NZXT H200/R5 2600/GTX 1070 8 gb system I do not play AAA games

A huge disappointment - the power supply makes such an annoying noise that I can't use the computer (B650E-I, Ryzen 97950, without graphics card!). While the v1 still has a quiet, semi-passive power supply from Seasonic, the new NoName power supply whistles continuously at maximum speed, blows out only cold air and is more usable as an air conditioner. Control via CAM is of course not possible, neither a switch for passive operation nor any other setting option. For the desk - that's what it's meant for - unusable. I'm now working on my H1v1 again (B550-I, Ryzen 97950, RTX3060ti) and waiting for a solution from NZXT. After the cable fire, the next fail.

Umm... head math-ing it here, but I think it's closer to about 46% larger(just checked, it's 46.875%) by diameter... Current setup is more tempting than before, but for my purposes, I went with a Meshlicious. Footprint and "style" wise, I think the H1 is probably more impactful, but after building in an NFC S4 mini, having access to higher tier coolers and not having to strictly undervolt/tune everything as deliberately was really tempting...

I like the case design overall, but the temps are just not there. Granted I have a 5600X which can be warm, with the AIO included in the V2 I’m still seeing ~40c idle and ~70c at load whereas in my 710i I’d get around ~25c idle and 55-60c load with my z63 or whatever the GIF AIO is. I understand that more space can equal more airflow, but it just seems pretty weak and the fans are loud AF even when set to silent. The pump remains at 4k since you can’t change it in CAM for whatever reason. I guess ultimately a rectangle doesn’t do it for me, so back to the hefty 710 I go.

a 650W PSU WILL cut it and does so in thousands of systems every day - you can power a 3090 and a 5950X - especialy with an ITX MoBo with its 2 RAM Slots and fewer expansion cards, SSDs, chips, controllers etc. I think it's simply to easier justify the buy of a newer and more expensive SKU

yeah I was definitely blind. I love NZXT cases I've owned one and I often admired it....I currently bought a mini pc with a celeron j3455 quad core windows 10 pro 8 gigs of ddr3 128 gigs SSD and blue tooth . For a mere $207.00 they have another one for $20 more that has a slightly better processor and 12 gigs of ddr4 ram. I will probably void the warranty on it so I can play around with the hardware maybe even watercool it . Mini computers are pretty awesome deal if you don't care about a graphics card it has Intel integrated hd 500 graphics that supports up to 3 monitors I'm guessing at 1080P. You could do a series on mini-computers and tell me what kinda heat problems it may have over the long term and maybe suggest modifications.

I believe that version 2 will definitely have better thermal performance than version 1. However, I am convinced that the cooler master NR200 is able to offer better thermal performance with the possibility of putting a 280mm AIO in addition to being in able to install a large graphics card. However, if aesthetics is an important point, the H1 is clearly more beautiful to show off our pc build. Of course you can choose the NR200 MAX that come with 850w PSU and 280 RAD.

Hey @JayzTwoCents Can you please check if the new PCIe 4.0 riser cable can be installed in the older chassis? I'm planning to buy a V1 because it's pretty cheap now (around $200-220), but would be nice if I could add the new riser cable somehow - beside some custom cooling of course.

3:30 about 30% going from 3,2->4,7 no this is not how geometry works (if it would be same amount of wholes in old vs new, sure you could do it like this, but it isn't) Count number of wholes! row * column * diameter * PI for both products and compare numbers ... than you get correct %

It feels like the included PSU, whether 650 or 750, is a close call on putting a 3090 in there. That TDP could choke the PSU as it degrades, especially if there's a power hungry chip in there. 850 or maybe even 950 would be a safer bet, for me at least

I personally think the wound hasn't quite healed on NZXT's part, but on the same hand it looks like they put A LOT of effort into making this case significantly improved as penance for their debacle. 2 years is a long time, even though it doesn't feel quite that long since the fire hazard. I'd still give it a shot if I didn't already have my PC as it is. I'd be leery on their customer support, but I think it's worth a shot. Can't be worse than Newegg.

It's odd that cooling is so important and seems to get so much attention and yet it's taken so seriously for all that. Thanks for making the point regarding case volume. Everyone knows SFF cases are generally a challenge to cool, but I don't know I've ever heard anyone mention, explicitly, that case volume means better airflow and better cooling, given good air flow in and out of the case. There is also airflow THROUGH the case. Balancing the volume of the case with the "volume" of components is part of the aesthetics but cramming too much into the case reduces cooling. Especially with long GPUs and smaller mid-tower cases that are shorter from front to back. Sometimes the GPU is almost right up against the front fans.

I wasn't really a fan of NZXT to begin with. The way they handled the original H1 fire hazard has completely turned me off from the company. I'd rather go with the HYTE for a similar form factor case. Otherwise I'd look at Fractal or Lian Li for another style ITX case.

NZXT is a really bad company. Publicly they do a lot for the image to sell new products, but if you have already bought, you don't count. Until today i didn't get a replacement cable for my H1 case. A $400 case is sitting in the basement for a year and collecting dust.

Even tho the changes might be good, with how NZXT handled (or didn’t handle) the original issue, they’ve permanently lost my trust & business. The fact that independent reviewers & outlets had to lean on them as hard as they did, and then report to the govt in order to spur NZXT to even acknowledging anything was beyond ridiculous. They weren’t as bad as Gigabyte, but it was still bad. They were cheap & negligent, and then tried to ignore it and cover it up. All-around, it’s just bad business.

I think the air flow change if really due to the added fan and overall just more room for the air to move around, just eyeballing it I don't see much of a difference in what the panels let through. When comparing the panels and their ability to let air through it takes more than just measuring the diameter of the holes. A 3.2 mm diameter hole means a hole that is 8.04mm2 and a 4. mm diameter hole is 17.35mm2, so not 30% they are almost 116% larger. However there are fewer of the larger holes as they are placed wider apart and of course also take up more space, so really compare some counting and a bit of calculating is needed.
