Facing life-and-death situations can cause some to reevaluate what's really important and what isn't. Sen. Fetterman seems to have done some soul-searching and the results are amazingly positive. He doesn't seem to care what others say or don't say about him anymore. He's making his own independent choices rather than just going along party lines.
