I hear just a slight difference but miniscule. Is that a carbon fiber slide and does Yamaha make them and does it matter when using a lead pipe made by a different manufacturer from the slide manufacturer ?

The slide is made by Butler Trombones. It doesn’t matter if the leadpipe is made by Yamaha or not. What matters is which one you like.
