I know that it’s a difficult concept for players and coaches (and media) to get their head around when the whole purpose of their being is to win, BUT ...as a huge fan of England rugby I don’t care in the least that we didn’t win. Sure every match I had butterflies and was a bit fed up for half an hour after the final whistle when we lost but to us it’s really not the tragedy which media and a few crazy fans make out. Honestly, England rugby you’re in a great position. If you lose, it really doesn’t matter. If you win, know that people like me (the majority of normal fans) walk around with a huge grin for days. I think some of the hate and desire for personnel changes in both coaching and players comes from exactly what you said yourself... There has been very professional and detailed preparation yet we're still losing 🤷🏻♂️. In each episode EJ says they had a good week but the results are not good. Can you see the disconnect there? Also like any media or self made documentary it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, we're shown what they want to show us in Next Level & the other nations don't have equivalent media so we can't compare. It is apparent that rugby training is centred about playing for a specific match against specific opposition. That showed itself as to how the English played against New Zealand in the semi final. The wheels have obviously fallen off. A good rugby team of clever thinking players should be able to adapt as situations and conditions change, and indeed be in control of actually changing the game to suit them. I seriously believe that that is the sign of a great team, who actually know what they’re doing. Playing the ref is another art in itself. In the mean time please learn to play a thinking on your feet type of game, that way the opposition cannot develop their counter to your game plan, as it is so open. I’m aware that that is a big proposal, but those in the higher levels of team management are paid to construct things such as this. I am available for hire. Ha ha!

Case in point, singing after the French game Kyle Sinckler just doesn’t look like he can be bothered ... which is what he looks like on the pitch. He needs to be raging. Compare Kyle and Tiadgh Furlong at 60 mins in the Ireland game. Kyle just looks like he wants to be somewhere, anywhere, else.

Their not coached to deal with a game that their not having it all their own way Sinkler epitomizes this. That way when they lose they lose big. Its why Eddie Jones is a fundamentally flawed coach. he has it in their heads that they should always have it their own way in every game and they are never going to come across adversity.

“The next level.” Poorly named. Fundamental selection and strategy problems from undoubtedly one of the very best coaches working today.

Oh well, looks like "brutality" didn't pan out. On to the next bullshit bandwagon. How about play within the rules. There's a mantra that makes sense in a game trying to escape the "brutality" image.

England look rusty ... lacking intensity and focus. Some of that is coach and some of that is players.

There's a difference between a leader and a Captain. Everyone can see that Farrell is a leader....probably not so good at being a Captain

Look I am an ardent English supporter but after every defeat we say the same things we’ve learnt from this we went weren’t there et cetera et cetera. Something has to change it’s no good being the world’s number one on the training pitch if we cannot transfer that to a match is there? I don’t know what needs to change because I haven’t a coaching degree but quite honestly listening to this lot of very highly paid athletes they still aren’t getting it. If it had been a normal year people would’ve been spending £120 a ticket to watch this shite and I think then we may have had more of a say. As I say I don’t know what it is but somebody somewhere must know what to do clearly there are half a dozen people that are playing on their reputation alone and not putting the effort in on the pitch, and there are others in the wings that Eddie is not even choosing to play Or even being in the squad. One thing I do observe is the fact that we do kick it away far too quickly and don’t allow the backs to do the job they are paid for, time and again we kick it 10 yards forward don’t collect the kick and the opponents have it and they are away and we are on the back foot.

England should forget all the psychobabble and realize the basic fact that if players like Farrell and Billy V know they are undroppable, then they won't bother putting in a shift. Ditch these losers and select players who actually want to play for England, not a paycheck.

Just not good enough YET again from England. All that talent yet so little end product. As a proud passionate Englishman, it’s so gut wrenchingly frustrating watching these sub par performances week after week when you know we should be performing much better. No excuses.
@SolarMumuns3 жыл бұрын
BS. They've been performing at a consistent ly high level for 2 years and then for 2 years prior to 2018. Look at the facts and not the media crap.

@@SolarMumuns We’ve more players, more resources than any other country on the planet. The most experienced England team to ever take to the field and a coach who has more time and access to his players than any other previous England coach. Hence why we should expect high standards from England. This group of players should be at their peak given their age profile and experience

Worst England side I’ve seen in many many years… The players had no heart in that last game and the manager bottled it and wouldn’t even have an interview after the match. Tells you everything you need to know! Kicking the high ball every five minutes… Absolute nonsense. We have some of the fastest and dare I say it best in the world wingers and they barely got their hands on the ball. Sorry Eddie, you’ve lost the plot mate!
