I love this! When I was growing up as a 70's kid, I very much disliked country music, but I loved this song because of the Giddy Up. Think it was the first time I ever heard someone sing in that deep bass. I am so glad I ran across this compilation. Brings back so many memories & now I love the country genre in addition to so many more. Oak Ridge Boys still got it, all these years later!

There are great bass singers out there, but Richard's full chest voice can not compared. It's not how low you can go, it's the actual quality of your voice that matters. He can go high and sweet or low, picking up the gravel from the road. No matter what is needed. AND no matter what shape he's in.... Having a cold, in pain or discomfort, early in the morning (we all know he is NOT a morning person lol) or having had a lot to drink. He is ALWAYS on pitch; a true and strong foundation for the Oaks quartet. His voice is definitely made for a 4 part harmony. NOT to mention his capacity as a lead vocalist. I truly admire his talent.
