Oh and in 94-96 they were getting high mostly on coke, weed, and lots of drinking lol. Noel (the brother who plays guitar) writes most of the songs and sings some of them, he was heavily into coke in that era but kicked it early on, the other bandmates partied pretty heavily throughout and Liam was a tabloid fixture in the UK for a decade plus

2011. I was the only one out of a friend group that could drive and had a car. We’d drive till we found the end of a street and we would roll the most horrific looking blunt you could imagine but it didn’t matter… it was me G,D,L,and F. We were kids smoking up the car my mother gave me. But when we parked this was the first song played. 2 of them are gone now and resting somewhere else. And yet I still have this song and the many memories I had with them to remember them by. I genuinely hope I am put six feet under to this song one day. “Where were you while we were getting high…”
