Bibleopoly is actually the most fun one i have seen. But the most frustrating thing in these games are the randomness, nothing you recieve is deserved. It all feels like hitting a jackpot or losing all your money to gambling, where you don't have an option to not gamble.

The *only* decisions are when to build more houses, what to mortgage when in debt, and if you want to pay for jail. And trading of course, but not every house ruleset allows for it (why? Monopoly without trading is the worst) For being a finance game the dice rolls solely dictate who wins. Even fucking Mario party has items you can choose to use whenever to make where you end up less random

All of these opinions just make me think that most of you are players who are probably bad at the game. While RNG exist on this game, you can control a lot of things by knowing the odds, wich properties are better to buy and wich not, trading with people, auctions, spending most if not all of your money the 3 houses strat and the house monopoly and I can go on... Yeah, there's somewhat of a margin to failure even if you do all of these things, but realistically speaking? You're going to be the one winning most of the time with a wide margin. I checked it by myself, but there also exist monopoly pro players out there that also confirm this. So no, Monopoly isn't a completely luck based game where nothing is ''deserved''.

As nice as the concept,people who do not get inebriated don't make the game anything more then regular Monopoly. I played with my copy a few times before it proved to ultimately fruitless.

The street names in Monopoly are based on streets in Atlantic City, NJ, close to my hometown growing up. The names sound ritzy but some of those locations are pretty sketchy parts of the city

Would be interested in a cooperative version of the game, a la pandemic, where the players are playing against the board trying to prevent it from gaining a monopoly. theme it around collective action and anti-trust legislation. I feel like that would be true to the original creator's vision while also being more enjoyable.

Monopoly Lord of the rings edition adds the ring of power that moves across property’s every time 1 is rolled. The game ends once it reaches Mordor. My fam tried it and it kinda stops the whole bankruptcy sadness thing. Just a thought!

Monopoly for Sore Losers is actually a fun apin of the game. Every time something bad happens to you, you get a token. Cash 5 tokens in, become Mr. Monopoly, and catch up before your opponents backrupt you more. Its not perfect, but the comeback mechanic adds a little something

The Star wars monopoly game with the circular board (it is just called Star Wars monopoly like the other Star Wars monopolies, it has Vader and Kylo Ren on the box) is really fun by far my favorite monopoly it is so much easier to set up and buying the planets and and using tokens adds a nice different feel too it. It makes it a lot simpler too. Also being on light side and dark side teams makes it more fun too

Mr. Jenkins you might also want to look at Monopoly Gamer. It's Super Mario themed, and it has a clear end. To win you need the most POINTS. Points are earned by buying properties and gaining coins. Also whenever ANYONE passes GO, there's a special boss fight with a boss card worth a lot of points. It's my favorite version that I've played.

I remember playing monopoly millionaire. There are just 3 main differences that i can remember from the previous game. 1. You piece “upgrades” each time it passes go, up to two times. The upgrade increases how much money you get from passing go, and affects some chance/chest cards 2. At the start of the game, there will be a face down card on every property. If you land on the property, you get the card, and you either immediately do what it says, or you save it 3. Objective is first to 1 mil

My favorite variant is The Lord of the Rings Monopoly, which introduces the One Ring as a mechanic. The One Ring begins at Bag End (Old Kent Rd./Mediterranean Av.), and one of the dice has an Eye of Sauron as the 1. Whenever the Eye appears, the Ring moves to the next property down the board. If you land on an unowned property and the Ring is there, you get to own the property for free. If you land on someone else's property and the Ring is there, you have to pay double the rent. And when the Ring reaches Mount Doom (Mayfair/Boardwalk), the game is over and everyone tallies their assets. More ways to interact with properties and a hard time limit on the game, making it possible to actually end without having to bankrupt everybody - great deal, right?

I've always wondered how a Communist version of Monopoly would go. Obviously, regular Monopoly is based on laissez faire Capitalism, and the landlord's game anti-Monopoly ruleset is based on a Socialism-Capitalism hybrid. What if with each player loosing, the amount of money payed for landing on each space gets multiplied by 2 each player the looses. So, in a 4 player game, when 1 person dies it would go from 100 dollars to 200 dollars, ect. W idea?

could someone help me with a rule please? if you were to land on chance/community chest, and you get a card that says "advance to __", do you have to pay the owner of that card or not? or if the card isn't owned, are you allowed to buy it from the bank? me and my cousins have argued over this rule for so many games, and we desperately need an explanation. 🙏

HUH?!?? Nobody can ever own the card. I assume you mean "if the property that the card is having you go to...". But then what's the confusion? If, for example, the card says "advance to Illinois", then once you move there, if it's not owned, then you can buy it. If it is owned, then you pay the fee. Being advanced to a property via a card is no different than rolling the die and landing there. How can this be confusing?
