Struggling with clipping logic and asking myself "why do I like this game?" is the most relatable thing I've seen in a long time. Great build, I loved watching this!
@Pancake_Nix9 ай бұрын
Yea, it definitely shows that they originally didn't even intend to make settlement building an actual thing. Did you know tho' that you can make objects touch a doormat or other types of rugs and then you can hold E to move the entire thing together with the doormat. It makes it much easier to fit in things that normally don't wanna clip together or are generally being a pain to put on the spot you want.

At 1:12:00 A tip with mixing Scaffolding is that the scaffolding floors will snap to small floor pieces from other sets (either 1x1 or 1x2) pieces found in the concrete, barn or warehouse floor sets however they do not snap to the full size floor pieces so you sometimes need to snap a small floor alongside to then be able to place a scaffolding floor in line with a large floor piece.

Given the name, I would think tato plants are a cross between potatoes and tomatoes. However, I think plants need to be in the same family. Tomatoes are nightshades, so maybe they're a cross between like eggplants and tomatoes? Mutfruit could be any combo of stone fruit. Maybe plums and something else...idk. I say Mute Fruit. After reading some lore: indeed they are a cross between potatoes and tomatoes. Both of which are extinct in the setting of FO4. Further edit: According to the Fandom Wiki it is pronounced Mute Fruit. Because it's a mutated fruit.
@Pancake_Nix9 ай бұрын

I love your design. Definitely fallout chic. There are a few tips and tricks you might find useful in building without mods. I highly recommend the KZbin channel Skooled Zone for his No Mods Shop Class series. Lots of good stuff there. One quick tip I find useful is understanding the selection priority with group select. Group select prioritizes best on the last item you individually selected. So, if you want to move a structure, select a foundation, then deselect it, then group select and the entire structure will place based on that foundation. I hope this tip helps. Keep up the great work!

FYI, if you snap a single 1x1 piece from basic or warehouse or farm to the concrete piece from.the warehouse or farm, you can snap a single scaffolding piece to it, then the ramp will snap to the scaffolding piece. In addition, you can then remove the scaffolding piece, leaving the ramp behind. Also, the bar piece you use is about the right height for the bar stools.
