Hello! I would love videos for dads, specifically on ways of supporting moms during pregnancy, delivery, and breastfeeding. You two are the best!

Yes, I would love something that I could show my husband all in one place! He's learning from a lot of other sources, but I feel like there are so many more for women than men with new babies! (He definitely doesn't mind watching the ones for women too, but I think it would be nice to hear it from a birthing partner perspective).

Lol “I did all the work” - totally resonated with me. My partner and I are both lawyers and we were both very hands on with our first. With our second, I ended up doing all the work and my husband managed our toddler. I don’t think people tell you just how lonely it is the second time bc you do everything alone and the sleep deprivation feels lonelier! Our baby is 4 months old and definitely in the thick of it!

I love how honest you guys are. Thanks for sharing your parenting experiences just the way they are, including how hard it can be at times. Most people will just show the positive side but you guys are showing both, and helping people who might be having a hard time feel more "normal." Blessings to your beautiful family.

Thank you for making the videos you do. It's so wonderful and reassuring to see even professionals truly struggle with the daily ins and outs of parenting small children, especially newborns. This really helps when it runs up against page after page of Facebook posts announcing births that just say, "we're so in love" followed by professional photos shoots in the nursery making you feel like you alone are on the struggle bus. Hope all continues to get easier for you guys!

Any advice for potting training? My daughter is almost 18 months and I am not sure when we should introduce potty training. She tries to take her diaper off and tries to flush the toilet, so I feel there is a little bit of interest in the potty.

Sarah, you completely nailed it with your breastfeeding comment about mum's always being on. I predominately pumped with my daughter. I completely finished my breastfeeding journey when she was 17 mths. But it was HARD. My partner would give a bottle of breastmilk but I still had to pump and wash and sterilise the bottles and parts, etc. It's always go go go!!!! Mum's rarely get a break. But it's worth it in the end. 😊❤

It's interesting how supporting a breastfeeding mama can look different from family to family or even between babies in the same family. Just like it was different for you guys with baby #1 and baby #2. Always communicate with the breastfeeding mama, because support can look different for everyone.

The Zipadee zip was the best for transitioning off the swaddle!
@lisagiannoumis3816
@lisagiannoumis3816 Жыл бұрын
The zipadeezip is life, thank God, my son used everything it felt like and that was the only transition that worked for my son. My daughter was honestly easier going generally but I had all the zipadeezips I saved already and she loved it too. My son literally wore it till 2+, he was obsessed, honestly transitioning to regular pajamas was hard for him. And breastfeeding is so hard, it didn't work for my first despite best efforts, number two just took to it easily and while I'm glad she did it was and still is way more exhausting vs formula feeding now having had both experiences. Plus it's like pressure on mom like oh you want to leave for the day better plan ahead. I work in an office a few days a week and so it's pumping at those times.

Hello! Love your channel! Is there a video or a topic mentioned in a video in regards to pets and newborns? I have a dog and am unsure what is the best way to introduce baby and doggie. Can my dog lick my baby? What are good to do's and not do's to keep baby safe. Would love to see your thoughts as a pediatrician and see a video if it has not been made! Thanks!

I wish it were up to the parents when to have kids and how much of an age gap to have. We wanted multiple kids and started trying as soon as we got married. Sought an OBGYN at the very beginning to do fertility testing, went back in a little over a year to do four cycles of letrozole, another year later we started IVF, and it's been a year since that (three years total) with one egg retrieval, three transfers, one cancelled transfer, and a ton of additional tests. We still have yet to have a single pregnancy make it to ultrasound.

Hello, love the channel. It's so informative and very helpful. I was wondering if there were any guidelines/ evidence regarding direct breastfeeding versus exclusive pumping. I was planning to do exclusive breastfeeding if possible to help establish a supply and then switch over to exclusive pumping after a month or so.

Hey guys! Love your channel and appreciate all yall do. I would be interested in finding more about working with a colic or just very gassy baby, especially newborn. My current situation of combo feeding since we talked to Pediatrician and believe it's a milk allergy. We have tried so many different formulas too. Its getting frustrating it makes him scream in pain and he hardly sleeps too. Solely nursing helped but I have to supplement still with formula. Any advice or ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Hi! Echoing the other comments that your videos are amazingly helpful! We have an almost 7 week old son and while he goes down for naps and to sleep at night just fine, he makes a TON of noise while sleeping. It seems like he is just a very active sleeper but we would appreciate any tips you might have for dealing with his active sleeping since it is making it very hard for us to sleep. Thanks for all your info and time!!

My baby was so loud and active at the age too! We ended up just transitioning him to his crib in his own room at 8 weeks and he slept great in there! We knew it wasn’t the general recommendation but it was the best for our family.

Hi, I am 3.5 months postpartum and still experiencing some vaginal pain. I went to go see my obgyn earlier this week and she said I have a vaginal divot. She said it’ll take time to heal or it may never fully heal. She prescribed me estrogen cream. I had mastitis twice and yeast infection once postpartum. Is the divot because of these infections or is it because of the episiotomy? I assume this is not very common…..? Is there anything else that can be done? Should I get stitches again?

Hi im 20 weeks pregnant today!! Do you think you guys could do a video on choline supplementation during pregnancy? Theres been a lot of studies showing that moms that took 900 mg of phosphatidylcholine in the second and third trimester had infants and children with higher processing speeds, and a reduced risk of autism, anxiety, schizophrenia, and social anxiety. I was taking 400 mg until week 20 and now ive bumped up to 900. Combination of fish oil, choline supplement, and eating 2 eggs everyday. My second question is....being as educated as you are, is it overwhelming knowing about all the studies for fetal/child development and trying to do everything right? I struggle with this and I'm not even a doctor lol. Anyways love your videos and i will subscribe. Your babies are very cute, i hope mine is too haha. I commented this on one of your birth vlogs but also commenting here in the hopes some other moms see this!

Yeah breast feeding is very draining for the mother because she’s always with baby, I had to watch my newborn all alone since the father had to work in a different place. I could barely pump and got mastitis and didn’t know I needed to collect all the milk… I’m hoping the second time around I can do better…
