I would say it's not so much "knowledge" as it is instinct. Like Ani being able to pod-race. Qui-Gon said Ani could see things before they happen. Also how I would explain Leia instinctively knowing which way to run when being chased. Vicky has obviously never spent any kind of time with kids or she wouldn't have been so surprised to learn Leia wasn't 3. Or that she was able to evade adults chasing her through woods by taking paths she was very familiar with for all of 60 seconds. One thing, grown-up Leia still runs like that, you can see it in ANH. It's uncanny.

It's never explicitly stated, but I think Leia's intuition is how she manifests her power in the force. The force helps her see through people. It's what makes her such a great leader in the rebellion.

And now most of them are dead, have been for 10 years, so there’s even less of a chance of recognition Maul’s race is zabrak, and that was indeed one of them 🤨 Hunting jedi is literally their jobs He hasn’t used the force in years, he’s out of practice Obi Wan knows Vader is Anakin. To be fair, as an Uncle of a 5 year old boy, I thought Leia was supposed to be like 5 too. I don't know if this actress maybe looks young or if it's because it's on camera but, I feel like my nephew looks older than her. EDIT: It doesn't help that the writers seem to fluctuate her intelligence from a full-grown adult to a toddler on a whim. And this is not a knock on the actress. I think she did a wonderful job with what she was given. It's what they gave her to work with that was the problem.

Even though she looks young, she looks at LEAST 7. Like horses, human can be aged by their teeth. The front teeth, the "permanent ones", are usually in by 6-7 years of age. Her's are fully in, not still descending.

Kathleen Kennedy said they didn't do the Kenobi/Kryze lineage because the timelines wouldn't work. They've bent the rules for everything else, but oh well. Still would've been pretty cool. It would've made more sense.

23:17 It is a little surprising but also shows so much if you end up watching Obi-Wan's and the other Jedi's relationships with the Clones. Definitely give the Clone Wars series a watch. Obi-Wan fought alongside them like brothers in arms. The homeless veteran he encounters is a clone that hunted him and the other Jedi during Order 66. Not only that, his armor design and color scheme indicates he was formerly of the 501st battalion, which is in fact Anakin's clone battalion. After the end of the Clone Wars, the Empire replaced/phased the clones with stormtroopers. And Obi-Wan recognizing that says a lot. The clones were just tools used by Palpatine and discarded so Obi-Wan had sympathy for that. His willingness to help, is a good example of what was said in the first episode of this series. How the Jedi Code is like an itch.

Leia has a... troublesome affinity to the Force. It gives her glimpses which she doesn't fully understand as she's too young and untrained. She effortlessly finds her cousin's deepest fears when she's looking for a way to come-back at him, not necessarily realizing the deep cut she's making to his psyche. She suspects Obi-Wan because she can feel he has so strong, mixed emotions toward her, but he doesn't tell her why, even though in reality he's fully on her side. I think it's a good depiction of the power I'd expect her to wield at that age. Like her father's unnatural reflexes around the same age. I also love how they're portraying Reva's Force connection. She acts recklessly but always ends up making the right decision, because she trusts in her instincts, which she knows to be Force-driven. It might look like plot convenience, but in the Star Wars universe the Force is the device which explains why the heroes are always lucky. I'm glad to see the same guidance toward destiny written for a bad-guy Force-user.

actually the reason was given earlier. No Signals get in or out ...all are blocked if you remember that guy told Obi Wan that when he first landed. So no they cannot track the ship. Once it leaves orbit its just one among thousands coming and going.

People complain about Reva surviving being stabbed but have no trouble believing that the Darth Maul survived being bisected. They complain that Tala was able to knock stormtroopers heads to escape but forget that Han Solo easily bamboozled a stormtrooper by tapping him on the shoulder from behind and running the opposite way. The complain that stormtroopers couldn't see Obi-Wan sneaking around the Inquisitors' base but have no problem with him sneaking around the Death Star without being seen. It's almost like these people already decided to hate the show before it ever even aired, for SOME reason, and are determined to die on that hill. I say, let them.

So just some info that'll help out the Inquisitors answer to The Grand Inquisitor (the bald guy with cool tattoos on his head) due to his experience knowledge and authority granted to by Darth Vader himself Darth Vader for obvious reason is the unquestionable leader of The Inquistorius He tells the Grand Inquisitor what to tell the other inquisitors the only other individual I can think of that I know commands the Inquisition is The Emperor only 1 or 2 high ranking imperials could in some ways tell an inquisywhat to do but that's typically cause that imperial like Grand Moff Tarkin or Grand Admiral Thrawn has the full support of The Emperor

I really wish the series was better. Obviously no spoilers from me of course. But the problem with having a series based between the movies is we already know certain characters will survive. Which means there isn't much at stake when watching.

About the kid-chase scenes. People (without kids) tend to underestimate how easy it is to lose track of your own kids (when they're little) in a crowd. Hence why most parents when they take their kids through a crowd are so focussed on holding hands or keeping them very close by. The problem is not the kids running so fast, the problem is they can squeeze through spaces you can't without running over another adult and the kids are harder to see amongst adults. Finally ... typically any parent chasing their kid will try to ensure the kid doesn't get hurt so: no body checks, tackles and not even chasing them too hard to reduce the risk of them hurting themselves by falling into or over something or doing something stupid but dangerous. So, I think the only unrealistically clumsy pursuit of Leia was when she was captured ... Obi Wan's was fairly spot on. He didn't want to put her in even more danger or hurt her.

The chase scenes were just poorly directed and edited. There's going to be a lot of safety limitations on what they can allow a 9-year-old to do on a set, and as far as I know, there's no stunt performer small enough to realistically portray her. The sequence should have been shot with that in mind, in order to hide those limitations, instead, they pretty much highlighted just how slow and ridiculously slapstick the adult actors had to be, in order to not catch her half a second after the director said "action" on any given shot. It's the kind of work I would expect from a 15-year-old amateur filmmaker just goofing around with an iPhone and some friends over a weekend, not a multi-million dollar project.

I don't get all the running complaints. In the first scene she ducks under some branches that tangle the bigger people up and then they literally catch her shortly after. She didn't out run them. In the second scene, obi wan was either being shot at or in a crowded street where he was trying not to draw too much attention while she was going places he couldn't.

I've never understood the issues with those scenes either. She's a small child,meaning she's able to maneuver through spaces too small for a grown adult to fit through. I wouldn't say she outran them per se, more like outsmarted them for a few minutes. Plus, she may have been unknowingly aided by the Force.

Young Leia, and Luke are 10. A New Hope is another 10 years on, when Luke and Leia are 20. Obi-Wan dies to buy their escape from the Death Star. He also had to blend in with the non-Force users, because there's always spies.What makes him even more tragic that the other Jedi survivors of Order 66, is that THEY could all find their own ways to move on. They can start somewhere else, and build a life. Obi-Wan was willingly stuck in stasis, to ensure that the final mission of the only surviving Jedi Council from the Republic era, is to protect Luke until the time is right. Leia is safe. She's being raised as a Princess, with all the security that entails. Oh, and standout performance for me is the ADORABLE little lady who plays the young Leia. She's PERFECT. Her chemistry with the other actors is captivating. She's got the world at her feet. To explain a bit from the Novelisation of Revenge Of The Sith that wasn't included in the movie. This was the final move of the war. The war itse;=lf was a Jedi Trap. It forced the Jedi to become WARRIORS, instead of PEACEKEEPERS. It thinned their numbers out, so that when the time was right, there wouldn't be many to sop them. Sidious controls both sides in the war, but he increasingly controls the MEDIA that the citizens get about how the war is going. There was concerted effort in the final months of the war to report ALL Republic VICTORIES, as having happened IN-SPITE-OF the Jedi. Similarly, ALL loses were attributed to the incompetence of the Jedi. Cound Dooku, being a forner Jedi, was doing the dance of peace talks. Sidious spun all those meetings, as the Jedi colluding with Former Jedi to prolong the war, as a preparation for overthrowing the Supreme Chancellor. Then Windu tries to kill Sidious, and you know the rest. This is why the citizens accept his version of events. They've been groomed to. So a LOT of people put the blame of the ENTIRE WAR, along with all it's carnage, at the foot of the arrogant, power hungry, and secretive Jedi Council. The galaxy is AWASH with refugees who fled warzones, losing everything but their lives in the process. The Jedi are hated by many. So it's not just Imperial spies they need to be alert for, it's anyone who wants to take an easy pop at one if they discover one. Form an orderly queue, and take a number. He spent his ENTIRE childhood preparing to be a peacekeeper, advisor etc mingling with the elites of the galaxy. Then the war happened to spread them thin, then their world flipped 180 in a heartbeat. Nobody in the field understood what had happened, and why the Clones were now hunting their former Jedi leaders.Everyone was trying to piece it together and get their shit together.

His Storm Trooper armor indicates hes one of the 501st; the order who executed Order 66 and fought along side Anakin Skywalker in attacking the Jedi Temple. The clones were all discarded, and they recruited non-clones into the Galactic Empire as Storm Troopers shortly after the overthrow of the Senate.

It wasn't until this series started out by showing the duel between Qui-Gon and Maul, that the goal of Palpatine and Maul in Episode I was to kill Qui-Gon at all costs. That would leave a barely old enough Obi-Wan to train Anakin - the mot powerful force sensitive known, who was trained too late, and had attachments that would prove fatal. Ultimately positioning Anakin to be the Emperor's new enforcer. Such a diabolical plan, and it managed to pass me right by until this.

Vicky, I love that you're enjoying these live-action Star Wars series, but you really need to check out the animated series that are all completely canon and are connected and referenced heavily in these live action Star Wars shows. Here's me trying to sell you on them: I beg you to watch The Clone Wars, then Rebels, and then The Bad Batch. The reason I say this is because they're ALL canon, all are solid shows, and The Clone Wars was created by George Lucas himself. It's his last Star Wars project that he did before selling Star Wars to Disney. Also, all of these series that I mentioned are co-directed/produced by Dave Filoni, who is one of the Co-Creators/directors/producers of The Mandalorian which you absolutely loved. He even directed episodes of Season 1 of Avatar: The Last Airbender which is regarded as one of the best animated series of all time. If that doesn't convince you to watch these amazing Star Wars shows, then I don't know what will. PLEASE VICKY!!! Watch them! You won't regret it! It's alright if you don't want to react to it since it is a lot of content, so just watching it on your own is fine, but if you could do a reaction highlight or review type of video for the shows, then that would be heavily appreciated for us Star Wars fans. We can be pretty annoying, but it's just cause we don't want you to miss out on some of the best Star Wars content that's out there period and so that you can understand certain things that you may have questions about. ❤❤❤

The backgrounds in this show use the same technology as Mandalorian. Its a almost 360 degree screen where they shoot the scenes, they can show whatever they want on the screens and change it in real time. Way better than greenscreens for the actors performance and for the quality of vfx. Theres a video on KZbin about it by digital light and magic who made the tech.

One thing I wish they would have done, which used to be canon but not anymore. Obi-Wan would visit Shmi Skywalker's grave every day and apologize for failing her son. That would have re-canonized it.
