This is Obi-Wan Kenobi. He wasn't the wisest or most powerful, but completed any task to the best of his ability, almost always coming out victorious. Through all his struggles and losses and losing pretty much everythinghe had, he still persevered and remained in the light, never turning to the dark. Truly one of (if not) the best star wars character...

I kind of agree, he wasn’t the most powerful, but he certainly was the wisest Jedi. You could argue that his wisdom is what made him more powerful than most. In one of the books I forget which one somebody had mentioned how Mace Windu said obi wan was the most skilled fighter with a lightsaber.

He feels like Anakin turning insane was his fault, and that the best hope he has to protect Luke and to honor Padme's memory is to bury his sword and hide himself among the people, while still living away from them. If he's not a target, Luke doesn't become one either. That's why he didn't want to go after Leia at first. In the end, rescuing Leia incidentally made Luke a target. Obi-wan was right since the start, but he's still a Jedi at heart, so he went to her rescue either way. He was scared to repeat what he thought were his mistakes, but he didn't falter nor did he failed in his promise to Padme.

Feel Anakin is the greatest character. His story from being told he's the chosen one. The rise of the Jedi knight Anakin to his fall as Darth Vader. He's a broken man who's lost everyone he's ever cared for. The movies leave out all of his character growth that makes his fall so much more meaningful. All the way to him being saved by Luke and the redemption as Anakin Skywalker.

(WATCH IN 4K) Obi-Wan Kenobi endured heartache in every possible scenario. Lost his way of life, his father figure, brother, his love, friends, and even his faith. His story is tragic but also inspiring as he persevered and never turned to the dark. Kenobi may not have been the best series, but the ending made me feel like I was a kid again, mourning Anakin and Obi-Wan’s Tragedy. It made me cry like a baby and I couldn’t be happier. I’m very proud of this tribute as it killed me to finish it, but I hope you all enjoy it! Shoutout to my fellow editors @terrastone @heroes fan Productions and @crusade048 for helping me as well!

It’s interesting that when you think about it, one thing Anakin, Obi Wan and Ashoka all blame themselves for what happened and all have to go through arcs of forgiving themselves and learning they can move forward in order to become more one with the force and themselves

Obi-Wan isn't just a Jedi. He was a member of the Jedi Council and the only one that the Empire knew had survived Order 66. They want him dead so badly not only because of what he's done to Vader, but because if news of his survival got out, it would be a beacon of hope. Whatever Jedi remain in the galaxy would rally and the Empire would have a serious rebellion on their hands. Not a rebellion led by normal people, but by Force wielders. For all their power, even Sidious, Vader, and the Inquisitors would be overwhelmed.

Have I told you the story of a Jedi called Obi-Wan Kenobi. It is a story of sadness, despair, betrayal, loss, redemption, and hope. His mentor and teacher died in his arms killed by his enemy. His one love who he would have left the order for if she just asked. She died in his arms killed by his enemy, who many years later would die in his arms. His student, best friend, and brother betrayed and destroyed everything he taught him, as hard as he tried he couldn't bring himself to kill his friend twice cause he cared so deeply. And through it all he never lost hope and pushed on till the very end sacrificing himself for others.

See, I am not even a Stars Wars fan, but I love the lore and characters. Only seen Episode 3, 1 & half of 2. I've seen Mando, and Visions. Now Obi-Wan and Ani's story hits me. Whenever I see/hear the line "I am not your failure Obi-Wan. You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker. I did." I get chills, a rush of emotion. It's such a cold and brutal line. Show's how hopeless it is for Obi-Wan to try and bring what scrap or shred remains of Ani out of the shell that is now Vader and try and save him
