Funny- everytime I try to do this my sword hooked to the follow path either goes the opposite direction I want it to. Or goes the right way and just “keeps on going endlessly” or just is entirely off course… ☠️

Make sure that under your Object Data Properties, under Shape that the path is set to 2d and not 3d if you want it to only move in 2d and then it shouldn't rotate.

you can't use this in hdri road, you can record a video of road with mobile camera then use camera tracking or make a 3d road
