That point about feeling like you are intruding on the main character's choices is a great one. Sometimes it feels like any character with a story worth engaging with deserves to have their own fleshed out narrative, or at least options limited to what the character seems like they would actually do.

Literally every game should have boss fight music with lyrics in it.

Nice to see you back, "Sorry We're closed - review" would work better than " obliterate demons and get over your ex in this horror shooter " . in my opinion Much love to the channel as always, cheers from Carcassonne

Not my cup of tea this time either, but I always enjoy hearing you talk about these underdog niche games. I'm playing Caves of Qud atm and Obenseuer is next on my list thanks to your videos :)

this isn't the only great thing about this video, but man I love the ps1 style "bencho" bar on the thumbnail, stylistically fits so well with the channel's vibe

w video w review, i only like vague dialogue choices when they dont trap me into the bad ending ie. choosing to say "i dont like that" and the character says theyre gonna beat whoever theyre talking to up but again, only without consequences for a choice i couldnt meaningfully predict by the choices and participate in

I kinda love how the game ping pongs between a plastic neon aesthetic and environments that'd look normal in silent hill 3. Weirdly, it doesnt seem to whiplash. This game seems to be what you'd call "extremely gay (non-pejorative)" and I don't think I have to explain why, but I do think it's worth mentioning that amongst the analytical parts of the communities that'd appreciate it, it's very common to pose the argument that horror as a genre (specially in film and games) is often very strongly associated with queerness. This happens because, be it either due to societal marginalization or due to the extreme (and often body-related) experiences discovering such identities and orientations tend to bring, horror tends to present metaphors that strongly associate with the life experience of queer people, as well as a space for transgression that permits expressing them.
