Grey Wolf Magicka Damage on self or Elemental Damage is better if having about 100% spell absorbtion, on a ring gives so much Magicka Regen (around 10 per second is a good start)

You know personally I think if they made the shadow Stones invisibility an unbreakable invisibility like opening doors doesn't deactivate it or attacking or pickpocketing then it would have been a viable choice but the fact that it's 60 seconds and is broken if you open a door kind of screws it over completely

And anyway, at high levels, you can craft, with the best sigils, chameleon enchantment, and at 100 potence you're completly invisible and plus, doesn't broke if you do some action. Except very few exceptions, the shadow birthsign, is just useless.

Frendlu yeah but permanent invisibility that is completely Unbreakable isn't even a game anymore because you can't lose I wish chameleon had a cap and the shadowstone gave you 30 seconds of completing invisibility once a day that is completely Unbreakable

You know what's even more broken? If you were to enchant any piece of Clothing/Armor/ Wearable in general with chameleon, you can stack it to have a permanent invisibility effect at all times

The Apprentice birthsign gives you access to a Weakness to Magicka spell at custom alters without having to raise Destruction to 50. This is very useful for custom weapons and spells when playing at maximum difficulty (where Destruction magic is 1/6 power and thus very difficult to raise in real play). Combine it with an orc (25% resist magic, high endurance, high strength) and you have the most flexible combo for max difficulty play. Start with Destruction as a major skill and you can get a weakness to poison spell without doing any work. The Lady is not good for a magic race (high elf) compared to the Warrior sign because Willpower is naturally going to get high leveling bonuses and max out quickly with them and they have elevated willpower anyway. It is more beneficial for Altmers and Bretons to take the Strength from the warrior sign because they start low and are not going to build it in gameplay. The Lady is good for a warrior race character who plans to use Illusion (starlight) and/or alteration (shield) spells frequently while melee fighting.

The best perk from the Apprentice birthsign is the immediate use of Weakness to Magic for making stacking weapons and spells. If you are playing at maximum difficulty Destruction spells have little effect so it is very difficult to play Destruction up to 50 skill to qualify for a Weakness to Magic spell. The birthsign is an excellent way to make a good battlemage-type out of a fighter race (especially Orc--high willpower).

Argonians is the thing you are looking for; khajiits/argonians is the thing you are looking for. But as a khajiit fan, i must say these races are weak in nearly all tes games :(. You can easily get some sneak from both adoring fan and skooma den by pickpocketing simultaneously, so sneak should probably not be your first priority. Here is the plan: Race: breton/dunmer/redguard/ anything that doesnt have - to magic, actually the ones using it is usable by mage sign lol Birthsign: doesnt make much of a difference, just find a balance between magic and combat Class: dont be afraid to chose the offensive ones; thus you need to have both illusion and acrobatics at 50 asap. Tactic: use rage, and dominate spells to bring some chaos to the action! You can rob their weapon(i dont think you can but armors too) by paralyzing! I wanted acrobatics at 50 because of using the dash ability to assault enemies detected you Hope you liked it!

if you play as a high elf you can get the Hands of the Atronach (25% resistance to Fire, Frost, Shock) to balance out the high elves weaknesses but over all its just not worth being a high elf in my own opinion but it depends on the players choice seeing as you would have to spend alot of cash to get the gloves and would have to wear those gloves as a bandaid all the time until you are able to enchant gear meaning you lose out on other early game gloves that would have effects to improve your characters/players playstyle rather than to cover a huge weakness that simply sets you back from all other races at the start of the game or you can do glitches dup for money and dup permastat the gloves on your character and get that 100 magicka and 75 resist diseases race bonus but still suffer from that 100% weakness to magic from the apprentice birthsign tho... but 300 magicka is 👌

2:25 Bretons will still suffer 50% Weakness to Magic with the Apprentice birthsign it doesn't full counter the birthsign because their race bonus is 50% Magic Resistance not 100% this will last you all early game until you gain more magic resistance gear so its best to just go with Atronach birthsign as a High elf or Breton just bring and buy alot of magicka potions and avoid the Apprentice birthsign all together you also feel more like a old school spell caster with Atronach birthsign due to not having mana regeneration Atronach = 150 magicka points Apprentice = 100 magicka points to unlock Weaknesses to Magicka for the enchantment just rise your Destruction to Journeyman which doesn't take long

Just wanted to say thanks. I've been researching oblivion like crazy at work and love your videos. I wanted to get back into it and can't for the life of decide on a character build. Silly question but if I wanted to stop leveling around 18 how many major skills should I use?

Well you're required to have *7 major skills* throughout the game, but if you're planning to stop _leveling_ at *18,* then selecting your *major skills* as the skills you'll *use most* is the best idea. You should select 1 skill from each *attribute.* And select _3 or 4_ of them that you'll use *naturally* while playing. That will reduce the need to waste time leveling the major skills you _don't naturally_ use while playing. So selecting *Blade,* or *restoration* as major skills will allow you to level as fast as possible as long as you're using those skills as you play. The only way to level up your character is to increase your major skills *10 times.* I hope that all made sense XD

Stat increasing birthsigns are pointless as you can max out your stats via leveling normally making those signs completely worthless at later levels!

I allways pick Mage birthsign fir my magw characters. I dont like Apprentice because of weakness and dont like Atronarch because I prefer magica regen over absorption. You get only +50 magica with Mage but that doesnt matter in late gsme wgen you have +50 magica enchantments and fortify inelligence/willpower/magica custom buff spells. Atronarch is pointless for mage builds in my opinion but good for meele builds.
