This video is great, and it has helped prove a point in an argument. First; I hate the Lockpicking system in Skyrim, Fallout 3, 4 and New Vegas. As it is luck based and pixel perfect bs. I have had many say it has an Audible Que when you are in the right position. I have argued against that, since there is only an Audio que when you move the lockpick, when you move the lock, and when you Successfully lockpick a lock. But non of these say *when* you are in the right position. Secondly; They have stated Oblivion doesn't have any ques what-so-ever, which I have said there is an Audible Que *when* it is in the right place, so it require more Skill than Skyrim than random luck. And this video proves my point perfectly. You can literally lockpick any lock at 0 Security with enough skill and patience.

TLDR: Endurance #1 Max it by level 12-14 if possible. Willpower and Int get to 100 eventually huge character power increase. Strength - Nice for carry weight overall doesn't do much else. Speed - Nice but not a huge impact. Agility - Does nothing. Luck - Does Nothing.

My ears have a hard time distinguishing those sounds, and I can't really tell how fast or slow the tumblers moved until their already falling back down. For years I've gone off what my friend thought it was in high school and try to click in place the next time you push it up after a slow fall, but I think now I'll try to look for patterns or recognize the speed when it moves up. But, as always, once I hit level 10, I book it for Leyawiin and do the Skeleton Key quest since it's so easy. Then I just use the Skeleton Key and mash the "Force attempt" button.

Just button mash and randomly point the joystick around like a madman. It just works.

Why would label these the best weapons? Umbra is great at lower to mid level/difficulty, it's bad at the higher levels and higher difficulty. Frostwyrm is great at the mid levels and difficulty. Hatred's Heart is a much better bow for the higher levels/difficulty, has the highest base damage of any bow in Oblivion.

I know you touched on this, but I think it is still hard for newbeginners to understand. The skills you use the most can never be major skills in oblivion (at least without mods). Because if you level up before increasing a intelligence governing skill 10 times (a combination which equal 10 total works ofc) then you wont recieve the Max 5 point increase in the stat when leveling up. Then you will end up weak compared to enemies when leveling up. So to maximize your 3 main attributes each level you need a total of 30 skill increases each level (but NOT much more, as you might end up needing to serve jailtime later to reduce skills in order to level up). In order to increase 30 skills without leveling up you cant have them all as major skills. The onlivion leveling system is a bit flawed in this Aspect, but VERY rewarding for experienced players. Feel free to Ask me anything.

I have a really hard time judging the speed of the tumbler so that audio cue method works so much better for me IDK if you're still around but people are still watching this in 2024 :P

Get all your recommendations in. Along the way pick up 1 to 7 lock picks 7 will be best. At broomall pick up to starlight scrolls plus one other. Here are the steps. Make sure that you have a magic eclipse. Step two go to the item menu and equip the two starlight scrolls step 3 drop the other scroll this should give you two of them. While you can have as many multiplier scrolls as you wish you can only multiply 1 to seven things at a time. Now do this until you have a 100 squares. Next make 2000 lock picks then go to the mages lobby there's a case with three stones locked. Pound on it with autopick o tell opens. You want the center one that is a grand with a grand soul. Make a few hundred of those and sell them you're rich. Go to bravo and get the chameleon spell. Enchant five pieces that you can wear at the same time and equip them. You are now invisible and have an independent income that is a better mage
