Fallout 4 was a might success and loved by many. 76 was the only blemish but it has constantly had support and has garnered a big fanbase, starfield is ambitious as all heck. A big studio can't afford to spend too much time on any one thing as they need to make a profit to keep the studio running. Oblivion was damn impressive for when it came out and that shouldn't be dismissed just because a passionate modding team decades later is outdoing them.

Nowadays studios can work up to 10 years on one project, but it doesn't guarantee it's quality, attention to details, etc. But what Skyoblivion team is doing different - they are doing it not because of money but because of passion. They are very open and in every video I can see how they love this game, this world and want to make it even better. When studio don't have a passion but want only money - we get some generic battle royal/extraction/pvpve/generic-billiion-hours-open-world shit. But if they love and know what they want to create - we get Baldurs Gate 3, Elden Ring, RDR 2. Can't wait to see the final result and have a feeling that it may be much better that remaster Bethesda will create

I am still surprised that Bethesda didn't just hire all of you and/or buy Skyblivion from you. In 2014 I took out a lot of debt to undertake a game art course at AIE, they provided us with no resources and expected us to do the majority of coursework as homework, which since we were being taught the industry standard we were expected to own computers that could render to the industry standard. My teacher was a disgraced industry professional whose biggest claim to fame was working as an asset artist on the Disney Cars 2 game and he f*cking hated my guts from day 1 because for our 1st character design assignment I pitched an idea for a fantasy race called "hydrakin" Essentially a tribal dynasty of lizard people where the more heads you were born with determined your status in the society and because I wanted to spend my time making their warchief "svis-vas-saal" who had 3 heads (one syllable for each head in their cultural naming conventions) my idea was completely shut down because "it is too hard to design something with 3 heads" and he told me he would deliberately fail me if I did it so I was forced to design one of the serf class from the race with only 1 head which was just your run of the mill lizardman in some tribal clothing. I still "owe" those criminals 40 grand. Good art comes from passion, the industry can so rarely provide people with a means to create what they are passionate about because it is populated with capitalists, who are interested in imaginary money not real art.

As far as a Demo is concerned, it would detract from overall progress to make a demo, the project has a Deadline now, if it didn't have an internal one before the announcement. I know there is an official ¨remake¨ in the works but considering Bethesda will stick to their old and not trustworthy at all Creation Engine I won't be surprised when it arrives ridden with bugs and looking similar to this but at a full game pricetag like they always do so that's why I can be hyped about some random guys teaching a AAA developer how to remaster their own game before they come with something worse on their own, also it will be free so nobody will be pissed if it ends up failing.

Really looking forward to this, can't wait to play this once it releases. The cave wall designs look so intricate, it reminds me of a Souls game. Love the "just leave" after finishing the vampire quest, it really captures the essence of Oblivion. After it releases, hope you guys can recreate and improve on the best DLC ever, horse armour. Obviously the Shivering Isles DLCs too after.

If I recall correctly, one of the main issues with Skyrim's lighting is an over abundance of light sources. One of the main things that makes lighting look good is shadows after all, and Skyrim tended to not utilize them, instead going for too much visual clarity. I imagine Skyrim was designed the way it was simply because Bethesda didn't want players to ever be in the situation where they're stumbling around in the dark and can't see. Which I find funny, seeing as the Elder Scrolls generally has a plethora of ways for the player to produce their own lights, and there even more possible options that could have been taken, such as being able to have a lantern fastened to your belt (there's also the funny Morrowind option of simply bringing a lit candle sconce with you and dropping it when you need light).

Oblivion was one of the first games i ever played to 100%, i explored every single corner, every single quest and i can wait to do it again. I just wanna thank all of the people working on Skyblivion for recreating my childhood, you guys and gals are actual legends and I can't wait do explore the land of Cyrodiil again.
