I love how the entire comment section, as well as the uploader himself, doesn't realize that this setting does nothing but *add* delay by delaying the moment when OBS is going to start sending the stream data to the streaming service, it does *not* affect the viewer latency on the platform itself...

@@nekophy_sc Enabling the delay setting on OBS will *add* local delay (store the stream into RAM for X seconds before start sending it to the streaming service) on top of the one added by the streaming service. They are the ones mostly adding latency, and for a very good reason. One way to do it is hoping the streaming platform provides a setting for standard/low stream latency. But for platforms like Twitch, which provide source quality as an option, increasing the keyframe frequency can drastically increase the chance for the viewer to experience lower latency without much buffering. Again, it's less to do with OBS itself and more with the platform that delivers your stream to your viewers. But even then, the topic is a lot more technical than just "here's a list of best settings to achieve that one thing", which is also not true because the settings will always vary for every user and their use case, and rely on a lot of different factors that always vary considerably.

I feel like you have no idea what this function actually does. It introduces manual delay. This does nothing with existing network delay. Uncheck the box and OBS starts streaming instantly. Check it and it delays the start by a few seconds (for censors and such)

@@rayzybazy because it is hostile, it's 100% clickbate. It's using the term network delay incorrectly. This is a standard broadcast delay. Add 3 seconds so some dude can hit a censor button if needed. That's what this is. Network delay cannot be reduced much other than on the network itself. Can't really go against physics..

That's not how stream delay works, it's supposed to be an intentional delay function. If you have it disabled then there isn't any intentional delay at all. Or is this some kind of joke that went over my head?

Yo man go to twitch then go to the top right corner where your profile is, click your "profile image" then go to "creator dashboard", then on the far left menu go to "settings" then "stream", in there you will see latency mode, make sure to tick the "Best for near real-time interactions with viewers" I hope this helps :)

with the video output doesn't it depend on your broadband speed, so if you have a low speed dropping it to 720 res output would be the best ?

Thanks! I have done all the chances you suggested. OBS says my transmission is Green. My bitrate is 40% of my upload. I have an Nvidea GTX 1060 GPU, an I7 processor. I am broadcasting a Meet windows to Facebook live. There is no lag on Meet, perhaps because is peer-to-peer. However I never got less than 10 esconde of delay - Meet to OBS to Facebook. What is wrong?
