How is nobody talking about The fact that this sounds like they went through time back to 1995 and grabbed Thomas Lindberg and that is secretly why at the gates really broke up and brought him to the future to record vocals for this. This sounds so insanely much like a techie version of at the gates, and I am all for it. I even asked my wife who does this sound like? And she goes Thomas Lindberg. This is absolutely stellar.

Obscura have been making albums for a while though, if you like this check out their catalogue its amazing.... definitely one of the more melodic tech death bands while still stayin heavy and tech...

Even when they have the money, they’ll opt for this generative crap. Because it’s likely the label’s decision. And it leaves them more money. Having that made without AI would be very expensive - but then, of course, it would be coherent and make some sense. Remember when filmmakers „discovered“ high frame rates? Every second video consisted of 5 seconds of action slowed down to a crawl. Also cheap. And also boring. Like those glitching repetitions of the same prompt in succession. i know linuz, sebastian and rafael leave obscura because they want to release upgraded version of "diluvium" album, now we know how complex diluvium is. we know the difference between "dilluvium" in the hand of steffen and rafael, personally i choose diluvium by obscura rather than obsidious because sometimes complexity gone too much and just impress the professors and not all of music listeners are professors. keep up the good work Steffen!
