I finally made it out for a full fishing trip offshore to the ocean floor grocery store. I left St Lucie Inlet and headed for live bait. There was plenty around so I filled the live well with Pilchards and Threadfin Herring. I fished a three rod spread with two long leader bottom rods and a flat line. Utilizing my clip release system with long light Flourocarbon leader I had consistent bites all morning. Only fish on the flat line was a large Sandbar Shark. I lost many really nice fish which I left out to keep the video at a reasonable length, but put plenty of fish in the boat. Mutton Snapper, Amberjack, Almaco, and a really nice Cobia. I brought home plenty of meat on this reef fishing trip.

I wish I could show you a video of the tax man showing up and bringing with him 15-20 Cobia with him. 80’ with a nice ledge next to and a loud popper plug brings the bulls and the sand to the surface. I know you’ve said it before, who makes the eight clips ?? Well done on another solo trip.

Definitely have seen that before. In my younger days I would actually free dive and bring up the Bulls with flashers so we could shoot the Cobes. Crazy times. The FisherKing clips are on Amazon.

Same areas. Off the reef edges and over wrecks. Also temp breaks, current edges, and color changes. Find these over reefs and wrecks and you’re golden.
