It pained me that he not only expected it to work with too low of a tool level, but also with the entirely wrong tool (even if it was the right tool level that time). This comment is definitely irrelevant to Dire's progression now, BUT, an iron hammer will let you convert 1x compressed blocks (stone/gravel/etc) to the next stage. It ends up being a huge saver on durability (if an iron hammer has double the durability, it'll break 18 times the blocks (2x from the durability multiplied by 9x from the compression), and by the time you need to make another one you'll have sluiced another several blocks worth of iron!

Consider still using Thermal for Gems and dusts. You get tons of cinnabar and with that as a catalyst you're going to get a lot more diamonds/emeralds etc from the pulverizer than the enrichment chamber.

Trying to carry on a conversation with yourself is a huge debuff to perception. Give the guy some credit lmao, he can look at a block and recall an encyclopedia of information on it, down to it's source, it's uses, and the machines you can use to interact with it. He's a modded warlord.

Dire, you now have access to a crusher, which means biofuel, which means a gas-burning generator and ethylene. That's literally a lifetime's worth of power, with a max (tested on my world) of 75k FE/t AND pressurized reaction chambers were beefed up in this pack, the one and only chamber that I have with 8 energy and 8 speed upgrades can satisfy the generator even at max burn rate.

Cinnabar in the induction smelter gets you 4x for diamonds and emeralds minimum. Pulverizer with catalyst averages around 3.

Mod idea: A collection of Mekanism-like machinery, but instead of standard industrial grinding noises, each machine sounds like a musical instrument - and when you use multiple types of machine at the same time, you find out they're playing an awesome tune - so it makes you actually *_want_* to hang around them while they're processing stuff.

BTW you can place a chest on the side of the sluice the fluid flows towards and it will automatically output into it rather than into the world, so you don't need one or more vacuum hoppers to automate them

Dire please! You looked at the squeezer from integrated dynamics! Remember the armor stand + piston + slime blocks (there are island near you, so swim!) For SANIC speed oredoubling? It's even automatable and costs no power... (The nose though needs to be muffled) spoiler alert: the RFTools timer is useless in this setup. Use the other one.

Hopper botany pot on top of a crusher -> bio generator is a really good starting setup for power. Low profile, cheap, and you can chain them for some decent scaling until you get a proper reactor up and running.

Thats why the hammer action info thing, shows hammering down compressed, requires the machine, not the in world hammering. All under one spot in jei.

Dire, while I know you will almost guaranteed not read this comment, you would benefit immensely from leveling your island to be completely at sea level. It would make placing machines, farm plots, buildings, etc. infinitely easier than on the side of a half carved up hill.

The Krate mod has an upgrade that auto compacts 2x2 turning your chunks into clusters, and though they are expensive, the extra big ass krate holds a stupid amount of stuff. Just sayin.

I await his attempt to use a vanilla boat. That had me confused for a while. I went the tinkers construct path. I also got mob fans and spikes so the mob over load from the blessed earth is not a problem.

I am playing the pack and trying to use Powha for RF gen. I got the item needed to help with creating items like the crystals. Managed to get to blazing tier though I found a way to have a high chance to triple diamonds from a chunk. Use the Mechanical Press from Integrated Dynamics and then put the dusts into an Enrichment Chamber. The Mechanical Press can really help with early on ore tripling. You just need to get a Menril Sapling. Also make tinkers tools using materials from Mystical Agriculture for high damage and durability tools. Botany pots can really help.

Hum I wonder if mekanism is still as noisy as it was the last time I played mine craft a few years ago? I literally had to build a wall of sound cancelling blocks around the ore processing to stop the clunking sounds. 13:50 ok I like that update.

If the tooltip says no, it doesn't work on that, Dire, then it doesn't work on that. The tooltip overrides JEI, always.

Just wondering but does the absorption hopper item he is using to collect from the sluice interact with a draw controller? If so wouldn't that make a good early game inventory management for it or does the controller require resources he doesn't have access to yet?

I think it’s just a lot of wood for all the types of chunks, which Dire is lazy to do. Besides, it’d be a very big system, which will have to be relocated sooner or later, which sucks.

Dire doesn’t have the resources yet. A drawer controller requires nether quartz which you get from crushed netherrack sluiced through lava. Not saying he couldn’t do it at this point, but he hasn’t.

@@duytuannguyen7117 not really hard to relocate... the drawers retain their contents and I normally go with 2x2 drawers so a quarter of the size. Ingredients for the controller is the main drawback... but redstone on a barrel of lava likely gives netherrack which gives quartz...probably... so it should be achievable.

This pack looks like it'll make an entertaining series for sure, but I have to say I'm not a fan of the random quest rewards that are multiple tiers above the player's current progression. It's like when you start a new MMO and they just pile boosts and items into your inventory that you either can't or don't know how to use yet.
