Tony right on the waters edge again. The crafty seal escaped but did not reckon on our tenacious Tony. Kat has such a delicate way of scooping up the pups. All are so gentle with the pups. Thanks for helping them.

Same here, bad days are really turned around when I watch these successful rescues. I will say that I’ve held my breath through some. They have to be hurting bad. Maybe the salty ocean helps the healing process.

Wally's recapture was familiar with the process. He just waited patiently to be released. Kind of a "Not THIS again! Guys! I am OK. I learned my lesson the FIRST time!" And Antoine, thank you for finding that ring. It could have caused all sorts of trouble for an innocent, curious seal! You guys are the best!!

It is humbling and a testament to OCN and all its staff to watch hundreds of captures and releases over the years, and to continue to show caring compassion to each and every seal you guys clear. You have shown this in the first vid I watched, where only Naude and Tony operated with the orange net, all the way through today, several years and hundreds of seal encounters later. I don't like to see a recapture that is trapped again but sometimes, it looks so much like a new entanglement it can't be helped! He is healed and is free because of your caring and expertise. He was very sweet and got a bit of a pet and a tickle under his chin too! It is GREAT work you do.

Well done everyone! Thank you for your commitment. I live in New Jersey, US. We banned single use plastic bags last year. While it’s a pain in the butt to remember your reusable bags, but it’s worth it. Plus, the reusable are not expensive if you do forget. I do live on the ocean part of the state and the seals come to Sandy Hook Federal Park twice a year. It is fun to see them as our sighting’s for certain sea creatures are seasonal. Keep fighting the good fight you guys! Every seal counts 🦭

What these great people are doing is very dangerous. My friend did seal rescues in California and got bit. The bite became infected and she almost lost her thumb. So they are very skilled and risking a lot to do this great work. Thanks!

The natives in Alaska and polar regions use white shields to sneek up on the seals and the bears.Maybe try making shields color of all that sand and try getting much closer the animals and save your breath from all that running.
