I don't understand all the criticism to the series, at the very least what they are doing is to bring out into the public interest and to the television, cases that most people had forgotten about, making them "less cold" so to speak, these victims and families need justice, and often what happens is that the killer is dead or in jail and witnesses and even family members are now less afraid or are even free to speak out after years of silence, sometimes even new witnesses show up, because at the time they were not aware for some reason about the crime or that they saw something relevant . TV series such as this one are important and relevant even if " staged" like so many on the comments accuse them. What I like here is that they don't say names or show horrendous pictures of the crime scenes. They respect the victim and the family and know that they can not say names and accuse someone that only the law can act upon and put at risk a possible accusation. They try to help the police solve a crime and try to examine it again with new fresh eyes.

I totally agree!!! Unfortunately all to often these psychos get out early or are given a lighter sentence in which they can walk free and continue their crimes. I don't understand why the court system gives a set time yet always seem to let the monsters get out after a fraction of the time served. For example, If they are sentenced to 20 to life unless evidence comes up proving that they indeed are innocent the courts involved should stick to that.

They are really only TV people making a legitimate quid for themselves through the medium of unsolved and outrageous crime. In another example they would all be some sort of psychics.

They are just trying to revisit the case and look at modern advances to try and make sense of what happened. It states at the beginning of the programme, so viewers know what the show is about. I find the episodes insightful and they sensitively review data, I have no complaints, it's worth watching and highlights cases that may give the victims families hope again.

I’ve only watched this show a few times... But as a child of a MURDERED MOM.... There is something about “MONTY”.... That I really like... You can SEE his compassion for helping people... I am watching a couple of episodes, but no solving. Supposedly turned over to police, but we never hear the results. Four years later and no results from police? I googled for updates and there are none. I am disappointed that no solves.

I truly command this guy to have determination and as he said to be reinvigorated and reinvigorate this case. I have watched lots of cold cases in United State that a dedicated detective with fresh energy and different perspective begin investigation a cold case and eventually bring some justice and closures to the victims family. If American can do it. So can we.

Yeah America does take cold cases pretty seriously. We’ve got a lot of issues but they do have some pretty great databases and have gotten really good with interstate communication in the last few decades which has helped solve thousands of unsolved cases.

Jason Grimes or, that his job is to investigate and identify the bad guys which then sets in motion the bad things, i.e., prosecution, conviction, and then incarceration. I guess it depends upon your perspective.

Yeah, it should have been immediately noted by police. At least reopening the case enabled them to get the killer's DNA. Although they haven't found a match yet, they still could.

Still unsolved. I remember this as a kid. The area never recovered. We lived about 5-10mins away at warden and danforth. People stopped travelling in the area, the malll was basically abandoned after that. Was scary. Paul Bernardo didnt kill until Karla, as far as we know and U of T Scarb campus no where near this location. Doubtful was Williams

So....to catch a killer....but no one is caught. It is most definitely NOT a police officers job to make sure that bad things happen to bad people. That is the type of mentality that gives cops a bad name. Officers are here to protect and serve, they are not vigilantes. The shows theatrics are ok, but nit much actual substance.

Whenever someone is murdered they will always be lost in time, stuck within the day they died and bound with no way to move on. Until the cases are solved and people take responsibility for their crimes. Many will people have unsolved cases and will never be able to pass on

It was done, and narrowed even further than that. There was a Bata Outlet store (Bata was the brand of shoe) right in Warden Woods Mall, which is very close to the murder scene, that had sold seven pairs. Apparently there was no luck.

I lived in the area when I was 10 in 95 and went threw warden woods a lot and it is nothing today like it was then. I walked this path 3 days ago including the path where Margaret was found and I think the killer would of ran straight up the hill out onto Warden ave other then walk straight out of the park entrance. I also think the type of shoe and the hat the man was wearing in the sketch doesnt match the style you would be wearing in 87 if you had those types of shoes you weren't wearing that type of hat and visa versa.

I'm not saying this show is perfect but why do people assume things are like they see on TV? Things do not get solved in a few weeks. This show is all about providing a new LEGITIMATE avenue for cold case detectives to pursue in order to re-ignite the case and hopefully lead to a conviction or at least to more avenues they can pursue. Nothing is worse in a case where you have ran down all of your leads. With that said his line about making bad things happen to bad people is definitely showmanship and that actually DID bother me. I think that's probably a line fed to him by a producer or possibly a line that was in poor taste created by him. It actually gives me a visual of a corrupt cop, which he doesn't seem like he is. So I just think its a bad choice of words. TL;DR: Good show providing leads to re-open cases gathering dust. I recommend.

If she had no drag marks, no defensive wounds, he either had to get her from behind and strangle her... or my guess is that he used Ether or some drug to knock her out. It would help if they could tell whether or not the sexual assault was pre or post death. If it was pre-death he drugged her, if it happened post death he obviously strangled her first.

If there has been any DNA collected I know that science is now able to determine the probable alleles (ethnicity, hair color, gender, eye color, and even identify certain genetic traits and diseases). Wouldn't that help?

She didn't have the muscle to fight him off. The serious of brutality I think came from realizing he was in wide open area. I think it scared him. He needed her shut up, put down asap!
