Why don't they search property records for surrounding neighbors from 1930-1969 around where the dump road was? It would seem like the killer had to have intimate knowledge of the area that only a local would know to find that road. I will bet you he grew up there or stayed with family nearby, and the names on the property ownership records might connect a common name with a suspect.

Means that they very easily can be completely wrong and its possible that a friend of her killed her, or a family member or a school friend, neighbor etc..they never tried to exclude anyone. Dear Steven: Although I empathize with the victim's family, the criminal justice system Does NOT exist solely for their benefit, but for the benefit of ALL The Citizens in the area. But EVERYONE, it seems, loves a "tear jerker sob story", even the cops, & the cops themselves often get emotionally "sucked into" cold cases that are just a big drain on scarce police resources, & quite often a waste of time. joseph.kulik.919@gmail.com

I've watched a lot of vids on detectives and people who work on crimes. The FBI, without a doubt, is one of the best in the world. Their reputation in the forensic community is well known. I have seen them solve cases with only a broken car window as evidence (the perpetrator had matching glass specks in his sweater). Another good one is Scotland Yard. They seem more cosmopolitan than the FBI and their investigators are top notch. Australia also has some crime experts that really know their stuff. Jannet Lane ~ "In America" as in Canada, the forum of absolute/or greater than proof as to guilt - is rendered in a Court of Law. That is addressed constitutionally in applying 'juris prudence' within a legal system. Can also be hindered and/or corrupted. Both situations happen within your country and others.... America included. The 'court of opinion' is a different animal regarding "innocent until proven guilty" and again; happens in both Canada and America. Unfair to confuse nor elevate one over another......

This is why serial killers used to get away with sooo many murders. Because before the 2000’s there were no large databases. If a county sherif worked a case with specific characteristics (like missing arms) and then another cop 50 miles away investigates a similar case they had no way to connect them. It’s not that killers got dumber, it’s that we got smarter. Serial killers are generally uneducated with low IQ’s. It’s so sad it took us so long to finally figure out how to stop killers before they turn into serial killers... Of course there’s still unsolved cases but there’s a reason why killers generally don’t have the opportunity to kill dozens.

I have to wonder why they searched for the bracelet where the body was found and not where the clothes were found. I'm not sure they really found anything new but I think keeping these cold cases alive is a worthwhile endeavor.

Is there somewhere to look for any further progress made in this case since the team turned the info over to the police?

Cannot imagine how much these parents suffer. Just having my cat disappear was devastating, esp. not knowing whether she's dead or alive.

It’s my guess that the commentary and interviews were done after the investigation. It sounds very staged and contrived. That being said, the work they’ve done is excellent. Wouldn’t it have been easier to cut off the bracelet than to have cut off the whole arm?
@newlifestartsnow44446 жыл бұрын
“This killer still poses a threat.” Oh, come on!! The crime is 40-45 years old? So the killer is 60-65, at least!!! Yeah, I don’t think he’s that big a threat anymore.

If Dayna reads this, every time I watch an episode about the London murderers, I can't help but think of Karen Caughlin who went missing from Sarnia Ontario in around 1974. It would be nice to bust the killer or killers before they pass. So they can at least pay a few years in prison for their crimes against children.(&war on woman/lifegivers)
@mjsmit48413 жыл бұрын
I believe it was the same person. Someone who was familiar with southern Ontario, but didnt commit these crimes in their own town. He dumped bodies on his way home.

And it was likely someone who held a position of trust and authority. That's how he luered his victims.

These amateurs are a joke !!!! Really !!! They have identified two locations where she was last seen. One can only be "last" seen at one place. Also, the young amateur genius thinks the victims arm was taken by the killer because it had an identifying medic alert bracelet on it. Seriously !!!!! Why take the whole arm from the shoulder and not just the bracelet ???? Finally, if her arm was severed from her body there would certainly be cut marks on the bones at the shoulder joint of the remains that were found.These clowns that are playing cops or CSI experts are laughable.I'm embarrassed for them.
@harrisonboone22485 жыл бұрын
Tom Sawyer , if the arm was removed while there was still flesh on it, it would require some kind of tool. Cutting blindly into flesh to separate a joint will always leave tool marks on the bone(in the past I have butchered lots of wild game I had hunted). Just saying

Rachael Burke "adipose" is fat tissue, usually under the skin. If the ground is alkaline, the fat can turn into tallow - (yup, candle wax).

Sometimes mentioning something or re-enacting something will jog someone's memory. It happens all the time. Many many many past cold cases have been solved like this.

Why does L.E. often assume the victim has run away in unlikely circumstances....they should assume he/she is the victim of foul play until proven otherwise. Lazy investigation.
@loris4665 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, it's much better to "waste time" looking for someone and searching for clues than it is to just wait and see if they turn up. It's such a disservice to victims and their families. The first 24 hours are crucial.

Empathy... Can they not feel it... that little something that makes you love people... especially those gentle souls called females. Its that feeling that people get when they are most willing to save a life even if it costs their own. These sociopaths need to realize that there are people like us around... and we will go to extraordinary lengths to save the innocent...WE ARE WATCHING YOU... Just so you know....
