I use stp octane booster for my 97 eagle vision tsi. The 3.5 definitely has noticeable difference in power, I'm also running a cold air intake with a performance coil pack and performance plug wires along with iridium spark plugs. I run octane booster for the fact that my engine is recommended at a higher octane than 87. $4 for a bottle that works for 21 gallons isn't bad. It definitely improved fuel economy and power.

Do they sell stickers of the brand of octane booster? Get 2. One for each door. Adds 50hp each. Total of about 110hp. That monster will be pushing 615 or so. If the math is right. I'm pretty sure of it. That spoiler should be a little bigger also. More downforce = more hp!!

Cars that are oem tuned for 87 are fine. Cars that are oem tuned for 91+ should only have 91+

What you talking about. You just throw in octane booster and thats it. If you do that you need to tune the car. It helps reduce knock allot so less knock the more timing and boost you can run

In uk we have bp ultimate unleaded at 97 Ron and shell v power at 99 Ron

In UK, Australia, India & a number of other countries Use RON - Research Octane Number for the Fuel Ratings In USA , Canada & some other Countries, We use PON - Pump Octane Number for the Fuel Ratings. Which is (R+M)/2 (Research Octane Number + Motor Octane Number)/2 PON = (RON+MON)/2

So let me know what you think, I used Torco in my car and after a few cans of it I had issues starting my car, why? All of my plugs turned orange, why? My gas mileage went for a shit, why? Did I harm anything in my motor? I'm not happy at all with using booster because of all of these issues, what did I do wrong? Was told you cannot over use booster??

yeah you can over use it lmao use the amount the bottle says per gallon, the ones like vp say add blank to blank gallons and its supposed to boost it to 110 so id assume the more you add the higher the octane so it wont burn right. How much were you putting in compared to gallons of fuel in your tank??

The type of fuel that you run has nothing to do with making power, because the detonation timing is still the same. Without a tune, to take advantage of the higher octane fuel. Your just wasting your time. Just as this guy has wasted his own and ours. I been a tech for 22 years. This guy is dreaming if he thinks he has just improved power. If anything all he did was clean the engine real good 👍🏽
