Regarding Luffy and Sanji's "Fire" abilities, I think this makes the most sense if it comes from their lifeforce: as in, they're lifes passion is manifested in the flames. This would also perfectly explain why Brooke's "Ice" powers exist, as (because he is dead) his life's passion burn with the cold flame of the undead (or anti-life).

I'm predicting we're gonna get some light shed on pluton in the coming chapters. With the realization that the Ancient kingdom was actually an Ancient Futuristic kingdom, it's safe to assume that the Ancient weapons are actually "futuristic" weapons. Which explains why both Franky and Iceburg we're so shocked as to how something like that could be built. And with the location of the original Pluton having been revealed (and possibly going to be used by both Kaido and Big Mom *head cannon*) I'm thinking Pluton 2.0 will start being built (or integrated into the Sunny) after egghead is done

I'm thinking Weevil was an old prototype Whitebeard seraphim I'm hoping the Sunny gets an anti-grav upgrade and we get an airship. The Sun and the Moon remain incredibly important, but I still can't nail down exactly what they are/represent. Whether it was the Lunarians, the Celestial Dragons, the Kozuki, or someone else, somebody came from the Moon. I think Vegapunk's line about an eternal flame to make his own sun implies that this is something the Ancient Kingdom did have. I wonder if the One Piece has something to do with the Sun or an eternal flame. But it also has to be something funny. Maybe the eternal flame was hidden away for the future, and when Binks was sent to retrieve it, he accidentally spilled his sake and extinguished it. Party foul! As a big 40k fan, I keep thinking of this like the Warhammer 40k universe, and Vegapunk just part of the mechanicus. The STC's from the golden age are lost, we are in the dark age of technology. VegaPunk can only partially build and maintain old tech, but can't actually replicate any of it because it is too advanced. That is also why he keeps calling himself a failure. The world calls him a genius, but in his mind he knows he is only barely putting together a few simple trinkets, and knows that previous inventions are far beyond his knowledge.

The reveal that they gave the seraphim Jimbei a devil fruit definitely sets the expectation for the rest to have devil fruits too. This honestly makes me hyped because there is no way they DONT have a seraphim Kaido especially since we already know that Vegapunk lineage factored his fruit. So then since he considered Momos fruit a failure I wonder if he tried again and gave a perfect version to seraphim Kaido? This also makes me wonder if they have Seraphim Big Mom along with her devil fruit (since Mother Carmel was working with the government). If Kiado and Big Mom are truly dead it could tie into Big Moms “Don’t think of me as defeated” line.

It is really awesome that the pacifista cloning might be taking epigenetics into account. That is the relatively recent discovery that our parents/grandparents (and so on) experiences/exposure to environmental factors are stored in our DNA. This is a do to natural biochemical modifications that change how ours/their genes are expressed, instead of actually changing the physical coding. To make it less complicated, we can start off with an natural inclination at something or talent at something because of the experience a direct relative had in that subject. It seems like this is what serephim jimbe is demonstrating. And if you can have advanced enough to copy genes exactly including their epigenetics you would get even better results than you would with children, as then none of those advantages would be losses on the gene mixing of parents.

What vegapunk said about the lineage factor was for me a confirmation that real devil fruits really are the life force of the people of the past. It has the souls/lineage factor of the citizens of the void century in it. They had these powers and that's why wano people (who are isolated) call it magic. It was science. Joy Boy the one piece is not Earth, at least not entirely. Its based Upon Tiamat a Super Planet that existed Between Jupiter and Mars. That Was mostly Water and some Small Islands. Then after that it's a Mix Between Earth and Tiamat with Science and Mythology from both Worlds. That's the Basis for Oda's One Piece Planet.

My thought is that Atlas is the exerciser of the group since exercise is needed for the brain to function properly. Also think that Lilith and Shaka embody the aspect of "what can you do" vs "what should you do" of the morals of science.

I am genuinly the kind of person that is not asking for an explanation or waiting for one concerning the fire ability of Luffy and Sanji. For me, it is just a power-up that they got through their journey and I find it very normal. Got a spitball theory. 900 years ago. The world has several continents separated by bodies of water. The leaders of the continents were contempt with the existence of each other. Their relations with each country became more and more fragile when the advancement of technology skyrocketed. It was that way for 800 years and by the time, humanity had already developed means to travel to the stars and visit distant planets. But in the 9th century, a war broke out that completely tore the world apart. Splitting each continent into dozens and dozens of islands and regressing the technology of humanity to simple ones like pistols, cannons, swords, and boats. The void century is actually that war. And what happened that regressed humanity to what it is in the OP verse. The pinnacle of weaponry were the creation of Giants, Dials, Cybernetics, and the crown jewel: Devil Fruits. Over time, the super soldier Giants faded into genetics. The dials regressed into a primitive state, Cybernetics faded completely and only the DF remained. What the fruits really are are a byproduct of a machine that is able to harness energy of all kinds and convert into a consumable form. The tree of Yggdrasil that's been theorized as the Origin point for these fruits is actually a massive machine unlike anything ever seen or built. That's all I got so far.

I think the different vegapunks each serve different needs, as York showed us. Atlas gets exercise for the group while also probably doing a good chunk of the testing of various weapons they create. I think the balance between Lilith and Shaka is less good versus evil and more altruism versus selfishness. Chaka clearly wants to do good for the world, as evidenced by his cooperation with dragon and the fact that he seems to be the one who may have allowed Kuma certain concessions. But if Shaka alone was in charge, he could get them in trouble, which is why he needs Lilith to watch out for their well-being and make selfish decisions.

That one comment about the Sunny getting some sentience sent me down a rabbit hole. Hear me out… since we know inanimate objects can get zoan fruits… let’s clone chopper’s human man fruit, and give it to Sunny who takes the form of his klabautermann and becoming the final member of the straw hats officially. And since Sunny is technically a ship, it’s plausible to believe that it’ll bypass both the devil fruit weakness of water, and the repercussion of eating a second devil fruit. So potentially, Sunny could learn Haki, have a devil fruit, and any other sort of augmentation given by Vegapunk. This would be a good twist for why Sunny is featured in a bounty poster.

I highly recommend you Myazaky's Mirai no Shonen Conan. A couple things really stuck out to me. 1) I noticed that all the Seraphim have either had powers/abilities from either people used as experimentation (such as King) or are Warlords and/or their crew members. Could this imply that one of the conditions for being a warlord was surrendering some of your genetic material to the World Government? 2) In physics, there’s a scientific theory called quantum entanglement. Basically, it states that, if you have 2 particles that are entangled, any change to one is immediately reciprocated in the other, no matter how far apart they are. For example, if you have 2 balls entangled, if one is given a clockwise spin, the other ball will simultaneously have a counter clockwise spin, no matter how far apart those 2 balls are. This strikes me as remarkably similar to how Vegapunk York eats all this food, goes to the bathroom, and sleeps on behalf of the other Vegapunks. Likewise how one Vegapunk can generate an idea and the other acts on that idea immediately. Vegapunk, in a sense, is a quantum being

Mihawk with the Dice-Dice fruit lets gooo. So this Kingdom got lost 900 years ago, at the beginning or before the void centry from 900-800 years ago. The first known Joy boy and Toki came from 800 years ago, so at the end or right after the void and Roger said on laugh tale that he wished to have lived at Joyboys time dispite knowning what the WG did. How bad was the void centry or the result of it really then? Luffys life span also got shortend now so many times, after Bonney aged Luffy he was superold and seemed like close to dying, unlike Bonney when she ages herself. How much did she actually age him? She later could say "Sorry mate, I only aged you like 2 years and that was the max i could do, because I can only add or remove years from someones current livespan and there were already no more years to take."

There are many different categories of human in one piece, what they all have in common is they live isolated away from the “normal” humans and they’re quite generous. Where as the “normal” humans are greedy. I think this explains what happened in the void century.

What if the "fire" that powers the island is simple geo thermal energy aka the moltan layer under the earth's crust. This would explain why the island is so cold because any heat coming from the earth is being redirected and can't heat the surface. Now the moltan layer is spread throughout the entire world including..... under wano. So maybe while using lava energy Vegapunk ends up finding big Mom and/or kiado floating through the flow of lava.

After this chapter it is very safe to assume that the DFs are in someway artificial, either directly, meaning that they were created as they are by the ancient kingdom, or they are a way for the ancient kingdom to pass down their powers to their descendants, like for instance the Nika fruit could hold the lineage factor of the ruler of the AK that was transferred to the fruit by the trees of shandora, or something like those, and only some decendant of the ancient kingdom could unlock it's full power, like a genetic lock. JB after this chapter, I have a whole new outlook on OP and what the OP can be. What if devil fruits were meant to be a way to create super soldiers to combat the technology during the void century. However, those DF once you ate them, you were controlled life a Pacifista. The "D" clan either controlled them or were the first to not follow orders rather kept their soul. This is proof that science is everything in one piece. The thing you said about altering dna made by the ancients can be something that’s true. What if in the past there’s only one race but then they started experimenting and as a result they were able to make evolution like lunarians, fishmen, long leg tribes, long arm tribe and even giants and minks?
