It's the word choice from the translator, the japanese line according to the transcript online is マックスまで寝たいなぁ (makkusu made netai naa) a little bit more of a literal translation would be "I want to sleep to the max" which... doesn't sound great in english lol

Yep as this comment explained perfectly, it was just more natural phrasing in English. Regardless if the theory is true or not, in general, the characters never go out of their way to avoid using expressions or words that happen to directly refer to humans or humanity etc so I also did not go out of my way to avoid using them in English.

After watching the last episode. And remembering that one recording with the game of secrets that Rui did. May she wan to confess something related the missing girl ? I think the original Yuki (tha cat girl) of mistery kiss is dead, and Rui killed her. I thought that after Odokawa said that the girl in the TV is the wrong one, and the Mystery kiss fan also said that the black cat girl wasn't dancing as always, not to mention the sudden order to the girl of using a mask. Well, we should get the answers soon. Great great work as always! Thanks for always bringing us all the recordings.
