MONSTER KILL CHALLENGE - IS-6 in War Thunder - OddBawZ

In this video I play the IS-6 in War Thunder for the first time. I decide to see how many kills I can get in just 6 games!
The IS-6 in War Thunder is a Russian Heavy Tank that was infamously powerful years ago when it was first added. In update Direct Hit, the IS-6's BR was lowered to 7.0 meaning it can fight vehicles such as the T20 and Sherman Jumbo!
Since I'd never played the IS-6, I thought it would be pretty cool to see if I could pull of a high kill to death ratio... and well... just you wait and see! :)

I just looked and my highest k/d is in the jagged panther with 30 kills to like 8 deaths. I have like 3 or 4 other vehicals with over a 2:1 k/d and I don’t have more than 25 battles in any of them.

The IS-6 was one of the best thing I bought in WT, I went from the T-35-85 and IS-2 to the IS-4 in less than a month. Also get a talisman for the IS-3 for that line up with the T-44-100 and BMP-1. Hands down one of the strongest line ups I have played)

Great video! I like this format as well. The more I watch the more I realize you have quite a few different flavors and many variations. I can't help but think of OrangeFan's videos with his first 10 series, showing the spading process, but yeah it does take a long time, hard to get through, if not really curious about the tank, whereas these smaller ones make the lack of interest more encouraging to watch. imo ofc. This tank looks awesome, not sure about that tier's meta. Might consider when it is 50% off or better, looks solid and that reload is managable, until you miss because of volumetric lol. Nice look at it here, and yeah man, that shot was super sweet, both of you moving fast and opposite and you shot on the move going downhill! Insane shot! GGWP

Bought this on a whim around Christmas and it’s the most fun I’ve had in WT in a long time. The sheer amount of people you can bait to shoot you is unreal (it faces Germany so no surprise there)

I love heavy tanks and for sure this used to be the best heavy tank in the game back in the day. First tank I bought and learnt to play in, great great times. Once they fixed the armour, raised it's br and added all the heat boyz tho it was pretty sad to play. Glad to see that it is a power on the battlefield again at 7.0, but the reload and gun depression can be pretty frustrating. The US T29 is actually still a better heavy tank at 7.0 imo due to it's survivability when penned, plus better reload and gun depression + 50 cals. But IS-6 is back in the top 5 heavy tanks in game for me... even tho the ZSU57 is a far better choice to use for Russia at 7.0! xD

the T29 unlike the IS-6 is over-br'd though. The IS-6 is practically unstoppable unless you have HEAT. Its direct counter the T114 has been moved up from 6.7 to 7.3 for some god forsaken reason too.

IS 6 is a pain to deal with for most countries at 7.0 but you make it look terrifying. If I hadn't already learned how to kill them I would be very upset right now. I do believe you just destroyed the whole "heavy tanks are bad in a uptier' Line that some people like repeating. Good game dude.

15:24 I've noticed when shooting top down with planes. All my rounds(at least the tracers) hit the turret, but in the preview they all hit the engine. It always felt like they hit lower than where they look like they hit.

IS-6 used to be the quintessential example of Russian Bias. Didn't it come out at 6.7 or something initially? Wasn't it the reason the M46 got its first HEAT round too? Jesus this thing used to auto-win games all by itself.

I've seen this thing destroyed by oxy from the front using a jumbo 76.. he took out the gun then the tracks then hit the cupola, he made it look that easy.. the only thing I can pen this with is a HEAT FS.. whenever I see this thing and I don't have that round, I just backtrack and go the other way..

in my experience the IS-6 has actually been worse at 7.0 than 7.3 as 7.0 is more prone to uptiers than 7.3 is.
