As the old joke about muscle cars used to say, "it can pass anything but a gas station". That RR C250 will burn perhaps 15-20 gallons per hour, at idle! At full power, depending on which exact model he is using, it will burn as much as 30-60 GPH. In normal street driving you are going to get perhaps 2-3 MPG. I realize the point of this thing was not fuel economy or range but a gas turbine on a motorcycle, especially the Allison Rolls C250 series, is just a terrible choice.

There are plenty of it being ridden, but they're all on the widest possible turns or in straight lines and they're usually being passed by bikes that are a shit ton easier to ride. So basically by all of them. My whole thing is wanting to see how it's ridden in curves where engine braking and downshifting would normally be necessary. Just to see what is done with this instead. Is it all brakes then?

The problem with these turbine bikes is that there is a 1.5 second delay in throttle response, both in acceleration and deceleration. That makes them virtually unrideable on the street.

I witnessed at a motorcycle gathering spot a rider with a Kawasaki H2R challenging everybody to a race in till one guy shows up with an Y2K. Needless to say the H2R rider went quiet and shortly after left to go home and cut off his ball sack. This Y2K beast is a BEAST.

Whats even cooler is the H2R isnt even street legal, it’s strictly a track bike. The H2 is legal, but not as fast as H2R. The Y2K is a street legal bike and will still destroy a H2R even though its 15 years older.
