What Odin seems to forget and its never mentioned in The Cartoon is Thor's real mother is Gaia the mother of the earth. Thats why he has such a strong attachment to earth as well as Asgaurd

One minute Thor and Hulk are all powerful and literally cannot be stopped, the next they’re shackled by some cheesy handcuffs. The MCU and comics are all over the place with their character power levels; constantly retconning powers, timelines, stories, alternate universes, etc. The lack of consistency has made it become unwatchable.

I can't be the only one who thought this was gonna end with some sort of trickery on Odin's part that would lead to some profound wisdom he would impart on the Avengers and his son but no, it ended cheesy and Black Widow had to recover his spear for him. This was a total disappointment.
