I don't have H4, but I have RK3588 (NanoT6 from FriendlyElec), a research on cpu comparison give it very close to the intel N100, so I expect the N97 to be around +3% perfs. NanoT6 running Debian bullseye (yeah, it is one branch back) is working ferpectly well and chromium is an accelerated version specially crafted for this CPU (the _only_ thing that is awfully slooow on ARM is when encoding/transcoding video not using the special libraries that can exploit the intrinsic encoders) - so the H4 should be working very well for kids (and parents;)
@Lurch-Bot16 ай бұрын
If you're using Linux, why would you get a crappy old Celeron when the RK3588 exists?
@hankhulator50076 ай бұрын
@@Lurch-Bot1 There is one domain where ARM can't really compete, it is when encoding/transcoding video, as ARM doesn't have the intel extensions it is ridiculously slooow with ie: avidemux. For the rest, the RK3588 is much faster than my old laptop (i5-4210M) while having a lower power demand - with the debian bullseye eMMC image and using XFCE :~4.2 W idle & ~11.8 W stressed using : stress --cpu 8 --vm 8 --vm-bytes 14GB --io 8 --timeout 600s).
