I am glad this channel continues publishing these documentaries, but they do vary greatly in style. The earlier series on Egypt breathes an academic style of going through history in slow and precise steps. This one skips quickly to 2nd century BC as if that is when Gods seriously started to matter, running from Osiris to Amun and onwards. But whoever directed needs a lesson in "rest and quiet". Dazzling spins, flashing views, fast-zooming maps, and running in circles around the presenter, who looks at it all and smiles his approval. I have to admit I was waiting for a "And now for the first time we can show" or a "Could it be that we need to rewrite history". Do continue however, it is certainly entertaining.

The documentary shares a rarely told and much underrated side of the ancient Egyptian history. Thank you for this. I hope you take the feedback on the visuals, though I wish they were given friendlier and more respectively. I myself found some scenes hard to watch as well (the cam spinnings yes), still there were also very informative images so I couldn't just close my eyes and listen :) Just one thing I would like to add: Alexander the Great is not just Greek, but is of Macedonia to be precise. And I believe the narrator meant "there were many Gods but now only one" for Egypt, not the entire world.

Thank you for these, but the accelerated graphic effects on this make it unwatchable. Onto the next one. Thanks.

To clarify, Amenhotep & Akhenaten were different pharaohs/not the same person. Much of the information here is presented in a confusing and misleading way.

How idiotic it is to say that today only one "god" is worshipped. While Christians, Muslims, & Jews all worship one "god", there are still many who still follow those ancient teachings that whoever wrote the script is assuming are dead. I am a Vaishnava. And while I understand that there is only one God, He has unlimited names, forms, & pastimes. Each, in and of it's self, just as worshipable as the other. And then there's Hinduism & Buddhism. Both worship demigods like Lord Brahma as being equal to God & thus worshipped as if they were themselves independent Gods rather than just pure devotees of God. What to speak of those who are followers of one of the great many other forms of faith &/or spirituality that the puffed up practictioners of "western religions" have repeatedly tried to destroy. And while some faiths have seemingly disappeared from this world, they aren't dead. For so long as there exists a recollection of that faith having once existed, there will be those who will strive to resurrect that faith. How many practitioners of Druidism, Wicca, & other "new age" religions are alive & well in our modern society. Here in Southern California witches still hold fire sacrifices As per their understanding of the ancient Druidic traditions. I know. I've been to one. People learn quickly to hide their beliefs when they run afoul of the pettiness of society at large. It doesn't mean that that faith or it's "gods" are dead, just hidden from disapproving & fearful eyes!

@@Musikmaker658 You realize Asian people had it way before Jewish religion?
@Musikmaker6583 жыл бұрын
@@jebstuart1323 not quite following what you wanted to point out. But my best guess of what you are playing at is the japanese shinto believe that people had some christianity mingled into. Apart from that, there is also the fourth century when all asian parts of rome adapted the christian belief and christianity became dominant in that hemisphere. However christianity has already begun to seperate itself from Judaism 3 centuries before in the first century. Meaning that Asia came into contact with christian belif later than the more western part of that world. (Not a great mathematical feat considering that we measure our estimation of time based on the supposed death of Jesus Christ.) But I am still not quite sure what you are implying so would you care to elaborate?
