As a 1M owner, I'm still mesmerized by the width of the fenders every day lol
@Clinophobe2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on the headlights. I think the issue is the blacked out housing that makes it look too aftermarket. Maybe an aftermarket setup, but without the blacked out housing would look good! That way, you would then get your OEM+ look while also keeping updating lens, lights, option of multicolor etc etc

This is really gonna be the build that makes you blow up even more. Truly show when you get into the cutting and make it very raw! I truly feel you’re gonna grab everyone’s attention with this build.

After all of the builds you're starting to wrench like a real pro Jon! Car's looking great! Maybe keep a rag around to clean those oily fingers though - leaving smudges on the unpainted parts is triggering my OCD... lol. But there's definitely the appeal of knowing you did it yourself and having the fingerprints to prove it! Cheers!

Great video, a twin oil cooler would have been perfect for the 1M conversion and could solve holding up that R/Duct.

I would definitely go back to OEM headlights, those look much too aftermarket and not like they came on the car. Besides that, everything is looking great!

Definitely prefer OEM headlights on the 1er as well, but with some white LED bulbs for the halos instead of the halogen.

I literally just went from full custom headlights back to OEM LCI Xenons myself, now theyre on they do suit the car so much more, i think the OEM look is the way to go IMO. Im also doing the 1M body soon, and Jet black like yours. I feel like we're twinning (ARC8s Also haha). Cant wait to see the progress on yours brother!
@ThicWhips2 жыл бұрын
Where did you find oem headlights?
@jackse822 жыл бұрын
@@ThicWhips i bought them new from ebay buddy using the Valeo part numbers, picked them both up for around £900 whatever that converts to for you. But i also had halogen originally so i had to get footwell module, level sensors, ballasts, wiring loom etc etc
@ThicWhips2 жыл бұрын
Ahhh nice yeah I saw those on there!
@jackse822 жыл бұрын
@@ThicWhips yeah theyre exactly the same units BMW use, and i cant fault them at all, i had some slate PPF put on them so theyre ever so slightly darker without looking too 'riced' and they do really look good. I imagine theyd look amazing with yours also with us both being the same colour. Helps just darken the white eyebrows etc

@etherity77132 жыл бұрын
Also, for the 1M side markers, you can just take that little white piece out of the plug. In doing that, you can reverse the wire harness without cutting and soldering anything.
@walnercarpio98572 жыл бұрын
Will you be selling your current headlights!? Those would look insane on my 09 335i

I think the orange in the oem headlights throw off the whole look in the car

Super great content! So the 135i is in costume as 1M for Halloween? Do you make up the wheel well gap width with just wider rims and or suspension parts?
