It was going to cost me a lot to repair as you could see in the video so I decided to just use its value to install the new one and to repair some other damages that I had. Once again thanks a lot for the wrap compliment. You got some really nice taste too😂

Harbor Freight is just fine, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. There is a time for nice tools that cost a lot, baseline compression test aint one of them.

@@AlexanderTheGrateful Yeah broski any dealership or shop worth its salt wont be using harbor freight tools. They will have snap-on or some other high end industry quality brand. You found a bad shop, not an indictment on Harbor Freight tools. Ernesto is a shop but he's a one man shop and we already know the ski has a paperweight in the hull, there's really no issue using a cheap compression tester. For most shade tree mechanics who may check compression once in a while (and may not have access to a parts store with a rental program) a cheap tool is fine. When you're gonna use a tool and know its gonna be a sacrificial use (like when I had to cut like 5/6ths off a deep socket to make it fit in the 2 stroke I was working on) harbor freight is perfect.

Ernesto, I had the exact same melted piston issue with my 2017 GTR; the ski is completely stock. I even had the same hole in the piston and the cylinder liner was completely burned through. It even melted the block, so I had to buy a new block. Please show how you removed the end of the crankshaft so you can see the pin. Is the 2017 1503 (230 hp) crank pinned the same way? I had low compression in cylinders 2 & 3, and zero compression in cylinder 1.

The trigger wheel controls ignition timing and is bolted to the crankshaft PTO. When the crank spun counter-clockwise past the round key, the trigger wheel went with it. That moves the crank trigger way to the left, which would have had the effect of advancing ignition timing to the moon without the ECU knowing it. That doesn’t rule out the tune and everything he said in the video about running a wideband and not relying on box tunes.

nothing wrong with Riva tunes, definitely not the hottest but they are safe AFR… datalog and afr, send to Jesus at riva and he can custom tune as good as anyone out there...

This is very interesting... I work on the 2012 RXP-X with only 30 hours on it and exact same damage on the same cylinder (#3) burned thru piston similar way but timing on this one was fine. Crankshaft had NO PIN...sprocket and crank is just one piece of metal...why this engine failed ??? I have no clue....not modified - all stock (unless someone took off all the mods)

Hola veo todos sus videos con el traductor de youtube ya que soy español y no entiendo el ingles jajajaj, y tengo 2 dudas la primera cuando te estas refiriendo al cigueñal en el minuto 19:00 al 19:02 me traduce que hay q poner un pin real entiendo que seria poner otro tope o cepo para que en vez de uno tenga 2 y no pase lo que le a pasado a este motor estoy en lo correcto? y la segunda duda en el minuto 19:25 me traduce "que siempre pintas tus bielas cuando haces una gran construccion" me podria decir a que se refiere con pintar sus bielas. @@SeaDooEric I did a complete long block, basically a drop in ready All new parts with no super charger and it was $7,200 At the beginning of this year, you can do a rebuild for the 5700 hope this helps

De acuerdo querido, da pena. El fabricante diseña el equipo con una especificacion, cuando le comiensan a modificar la cosa totalmente cambia. Cualquier tarado le tira guita y espera milagros. Muy pocos tienen la capacidad y la experiencia para modificar sin que terminen en fin catastrofico.
