Came across your videos a couple of days ago. My wife and I were the second owners of Sea Dream which we purchased late 1983 at Inverkip Marina in Scotland. The original owner was using the yacht as a successful local racer. After spending winter on Sea Dream making many interior and exterior changes (layout, cabinets, chart table, insulation etc) we finally set off on our own cruising adventure stopping off in Wales and Southern England before heading through Bay of Biscay to the Mediterranean where we spent approx 3 years visiting Spain, Sicily, Italy and Yugoslavia. We then went to Gibralter where we provisioned for our Atlantic crossing to Barbados and then eventually through the islands to Fort Lauderdale where we left the boat and flew to Vancouver BC. We had Sea Dream shipped overland to Vancouver and lived on the boat for approx 7 years before for selling to the third owners. We lost track until now but delighted to see a very recognisable Sea Dream, bringing back many happy memories.

Thanks for jumping aboard for the adventures, Mike! In the next video, we will be rounding the corner into the Gulf of California! Plus, we're currently planning the next adventures for 2025! The open Pacific is calling!

Bahia Santa Maria. I remember it well. If you ever go that way again, Bahia Magdelana is way better. There’s a palapa on the beach 🏖 🏝 with whale skeletons on display and a cool mangrove swamp! Glad Kat is mostly over sea sickness. I still get a little of it if I go below in rough seas but not often. Cabo can be crowded but I rent a private panga and have then drop me off in a couple of places away from the tourists. Funny, I’ve been to Cabo twice but never got there by plane! Good call changing out the headsail. At night, work your way closer to shore to take advantage of the off shore wind flow. The land cools faster than the sea so the hotter air above the water rises and pulls colder air off the land. I enjoyed the episode. Would have been better if you’d landed that dorado though, but that’s fishing!

Need sea monsters! I remember that stretch being a tough go on the way down but a blessing going up on a delivery after the pounding you get this side of Cabo.
