Thanks for making some great trapping videos Joe. Great stuff and good tips. Trapping is a great thing for families to do outdoors together. My 3 yo son loves it and he has been with me on a bear, raccoon, beaver, and fisher this year! You’re a good ambassador for the sport on KZbin! Keep it up.

I unfortunately haven't trapped, but where I used to live we had a lot of Fisher and I would put a pile of fish heads and innards in the woods behind our house and stuck a trail cam up to see what would come in. The Fisher were on it often eating them. Great video. Glad CJ got to come up.

Shoot me a PM Joe and tell me what you’re getting for one of the Martins. The first or second one, the big one with the dark fur would look great on our wall. We even have an old trap to hang with it. Thank you again.

we used to look for roadside quicksand...then jump up and down on the quicksand sections ...the quicksand would get bouncy then start collapsing and we would laugh our butts off when one of us got trapped and lose a boot from the mud suction...we would get our necks wrung when we showed up at home with muddy socks

Hey Joe, when I’m baiting and trapping bear I tend to wear gloves to try and keep The human scent off of the trap and the area around it. Does human scent not tend to bother the animals that you’re trapping? Really enjoying the trapping videos!
@JoeHollandFishing10 күн бұрын
Must be scent free for coyote fox and bear but it's never been a factor for marten and fisher that I know of, Maybe though

To bad you can’t use a bigger body grip traps 160 or 220 works a lot better for fisher it’s dumb because they trap thousands of lynx in Canada they aren’t endangered it’s just a excuse to make trapping more difficult 😥 pretty sad we put up with the nonsense

i tried trapping once and we caught first a skunk then a coyote. with the coyote my friend had me choke it out and looking in the dogs eyes.... see i said dogs eyes, he looked like a dog and it was just so dude could brag that he is like you or something, long story short he ruined the hide and the fur fell off and i never trapped again. not saying this as im against this, no, im against trapping with toby or him trapping at all
