What about the middle bolts. Shouldnt they be holding the bumper too?

does the evo 9 have the intercooler spray button? if so don't forget to reattach the water spray tube/piping (like i did on my evo 7) before you put the bumper back on.

What are you doing to make your splash guard fixings and top part of the bumper quick release?
@Genevo9
@Genevo9 4 жыл бұрын
To be honest I only have one plastic river on the splash guard and 2 10mm bolts on each side of the top part of the bumper, you really don’t even need those 2 10mm to be honest
@TonyTurboRST
@TonyTurboRST 4 жыл бұрын
I used 1/4 turn quick release fasteners on my splash guards. If you don’t fix them properly the wind while driving will push them into the tyre, and the tyre will eat them. As I found out. I use 4 x M6 bolts on the top of the bumper for now. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos :)

Did you need to remove the plastic bits on the fenders to get it to sit flush or can I leave those?
@Genevo9
@Genevo9 4 жыл бұрын
You can leave those bro. No need to remove anything, just the bumper to make it easy access.
@vOpTiOnZ

Great video! For sure going to buy! Question tho, do you ever put on or remove the two bolts by the in cooler? The ones that are behind the little circle covers? Everytime I take my bumper off I always lose and drop those bolts it’s a pain. Do I even need them?
@Genevo9
@Genevo9 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much bro! To be hones bro I forgot about those! You dont really need them IMHO, but it wont hurt to install them for extra support, but the quick release and two 10mm at the top should suffice. Thank you again for tuning bro!

Gonna be honest it hurt seeing the bumper be drilled into, but honestly I think it was worth it, or will be. Will be a huge time saver, and time is money. And, it looks actually a lot cleaner than I expected it to, you can barely see them.

U cant Quick release the bumper if u have got the OEM stock protective undertray which is secured with 12 clips to the bumper lower lip isnt it? 9 year evo9 owner
@Genevo9
@Genevo9 4 жыл бұрын
I just secured the front half for the undertray connected for to the front bumper with 2 clips which is connected to the tab so I can easily access and remove it Brotha. No issues so far 👍🏽😊
@emolutioning
@emolutioning 4 жыл бұрын
Nope in your vid there is no plastic oem undertray. this undertray is connected with 12 or more clips to the front bumper and then maybe around 4 more clips secured to the chassis more rear to the bumper.
@Kimballliin

So knock off Quik•Latch and you still didn’t put on the bumper fully to get an accurate time. I run Quik-Latch hood pins, front and rear bumper releases and interior upgrades including amp rack in my FD. It takes 2min 5sec to completely pull off my front bumper from 7min 48sec originally. qL is rated at 150lbs break point and it’s about $10 cheaper than this.
