I'm Asian , been dating girls outside my race since I was in high school, they are just like any other girls, a lot of these girls are just waiting for a guy to talk to them. Plus you have to have the self confidence in yourself. Alot of asian guys don't approach other races because the fear of rejection.

You are correct. I'm not asian, but went to a hood school in texas, and there were like 2-3 asian dudes getting tons of tail. They had attributes most asian guys do not have. #1 is humor, not caring about anyone getting offended. Super social, had friends of every race (more exposure to different races of women), and not afraid of taking an L (rejection).

In the movie "Romeo must die". There was supposed to be a kissing scene at the end of the movie, but the director said that he "Didn't want the world to be disgusted by watching a beautiful black girl kissing a asian man". There is so much movies about a white guy saving the day and ends up with a asian girl, but never a asian guy saving the day and ends up with a white girl. Hollywood need to stop with their asian girl fetish.

That's an easy one. Hollywood directors and staff are majority Jewish and are actually deathly afraid of 'their' women falling for Asian guys like Bruce Lee and Sessue Hayakawa, one of the first big heartthrobs in Hollywood.

I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where Asians were practically like a mystical unicorn. I often got mistaken for being Mexican or Native American. It was so rare for white people to see Asians in real life to the point that Asian stereotypes became useless in social interactions lol. Never really felt any type of struggle or “guilt” in dating white girls since they were the only option around me. I didn’t even know some Asians in the west coast had this much inferiority complex in their identity until I moved over there for college.

I grew in the Midwest (Chicago/Suburbs) us Asians are exotic there and the white girls seem to be more receptive to dating us. It helps I’m tall for a Asian man at 6ft and athletic who isn’t socially awkward. Now I live in California and it could be the social media age but your just another Asian here it’s nothing special for a white girl or just even some Asian girls don’t want to date Asian men unless you are a super outlier. I dated a Irish girl from Ireland for 8 years and I’m sure that exotic card played some part of my attraction for her.

I am white but i am half Polish and half German - both my grandmothers were 100% Polish and both my grandfathers were 100% German. Even when they dated and eventually got married it was extremely looked down upon and was a huge issue within both of their extended families. They actually migrated to the US so that they would be less scrutinized. Even within the same race they were shamed for multicultural relationships. And that was not that long ago either!

Glad I found this channel. So I came to America in 79 from S. Korea. And for the longest time, I believed in the stereo type because it was constantly reinforced by the fact that a lot of Asian women would only date non-Asian men. I grew-up in San Jose, CA so this is what I observed. Long story short, I moved to Southwest Virginia for school and suddenly I found myself in a new environment surrounded by white and black people and I gotta admit, it was a culture shock. But something else happened, I started interacting with people from different cultures and started making connections. Also, I was probably at the happiest during those three years and because I was happy, girls started responding to that inner joy/happiness and optimism vibe I had around me. Its how I met my wife, she's Brazilian, and we married and we have built a life together 🙂. I think when a guy is happy and just enjoying life, this is what can make a woman notice you. Let's be honest, would you want to hang-out with a friend who was always depressed or down or just plain unhappy? No. Living in San Jose was doing that to me. I had to move to the East Coast to realize how unhappy I was in California. God bless you all.

I have never felt Insecure dating, nor racism. I believe in myself as a man of value and standards. I'm 5 foot 10, not even 6 foot. I disagree though. I'm Asian-American and all my friends growing up and to this day are non-asian. It's no coincidence that Asian men have the worst dating responses from women for online dating. This is really from U.S. media propaganda. There is no representation for Asian-American men in a sexually desirable manner. No A-list hollywood asian celebs for example. K-Pop just recently blew up in the U.S. and suddenly starting to see more desire for white women dating asians because now they've become more acceptable to a white girls "social status"

@holycrap2680 I agree with you that Asian men are not depicted in a “desirable” way in Hollywood movies/ TV shows, however I think “desirability” (according to the media) is not really a factor in dating apps/ websites. If you are desirable, you are desirable, no matter what race you are. Some people are just not into the way that Asians look. Some people just feel uncomfortable around us (due to prejudice, ignorance, or both). Some people just have a preference for dating people within their own race/ ethnicity/ culture. I don’t think it has anything to do with how Asian men are portrayed in the media.

I remember going to high school, and despite the best efforts of the Gap commercials of that time and the sitcoms trying to make you believe that all the races just got along, but I vividly remember that beyond the scripted blocks of learning of the required subjects: math, science, English, history, art etc...I got a glimpse of what was behind the curtain of the real world after school would end and that was during lunch time and I would see the cliques form, there's no sign that says blacks sit at this table, it just happens. The Hispanics sit at one table, the whites and blacks sit at their own tables, the emo goth had their own table, and you wanna know the messed up part is that the Asian kids didn't even have a table. They were usually found doing their club meetings and eating in the class or playing with D&D. The rare times non Asians wanted to be anywhere near Asians was when a test was coming and everyone wanted to sit next to one, cuz to copy the answers. And it was a liberal school so it was surprising to see open racism happen so effortlessly. Whenever the school had dance nights, and if a hot white girl goes to a white or a black guy, it was to see if they already had a date for the night, but when they come up to a Asian guy it's around the end of the quarter when there's papers need to be written or tutoring for exams so they can graduate. Asian guys were seen as walking calculators or encyclopedias, but never the object of affection. College was just a rerun of high school but the girls were even hotter.

I am fluent in two languages, and had the rare opportunity to experiment and date in Asia and America. Same me, same humor, same confidence and looks, the result was vastly different. Im a British black woman who's watched JK for over a decade now and when I think back to when I discovered that Asian men could be an dating option for me was crazyyy😅 So London is super multicultural so I grew up seeing so many multicultural relationships it was very normal but what I will say is out of all the different combinations of races I grew up around I never saw East Asian men with someone outside their race. Not where I grow up anyways.. Anyhow so when I was in school about 15 years old I was talking to a friend who is also black and she was telling me about her secret crush she had, she was making me guess who it was, so Im going through a list of most of the guys in our grade and she's laughing to herself saying "I'll never guess who it is" anyways eventually she lets me know that it was 1 out of the 4 Asian guys in our grade and my mind was blownnnnn, its actually so stupid when you think about it cuz the guy she was talking about was super cool, attractive and everyone liked him but no girls were really interested. Until she said that I never even thought that dating an Asian guy was an option I could have, as I never saw it growing up. After this revelation every time I was in public I kept on seeing super hot asian dudes that I never noticed before. It was like wearing shades your whole life then taking them off! Like the way I thought was so juvenile but I think true to the times, I never saw Asian men being desired so I didn't know it was an option so were I completely agree with what the guys are saying but I think its a mix of both. I am sorry to say this, but I really wish that we didn't put white girls on the pedestal. Date who you want, but the default of dating out of your race shouldn't be white. I understand that in america, white is the default, but I felt like the panel honed in on the experience of asian males trying to date white women. I get that is the goal, for lack of better words, for many asian men, but there is more out there. Go for Hispanic, or indian, or black. This is coming from an AMBW couple.

So I've dated all races and just never dated an Asian boy, not because of the race, because they were so timid and had no idea how to approach me. I am white and was born and raised in Hawaii - I live on the mainland now. My first boyfriend was asian and since then my preference tends to lean that way. Why? I don't know. Probably because I find asians so attractive. I'm single again but I am hesitant to put out there in the "ether" that I'd really love to meet a lovely asian man, but I'm afraid of being slapped with the societal labels and being accused of having "yellow fever" and all this other stuff that's being slung around now and I don't know how to approach it. Yes, I'm white, but I grew up around all asian and Pacific Islander and now I feel like today I'm not allowed to pursue my interests. If anyone has any advice, please share. I'd appreciate to get ideas of how to approach this or where I could meet accepting asian men open to meeting white women. Is there an online community for this or?? Idk - I feel stupid for even asking but I'm just being authentic...so..tia

Approach who you have interests in instead of being afraid of social labels. It's your life, you are living it for yourself, not others and you are the star of your show. All those other people are casts of the show to make your life more interesting. Asian men are open to meeting other races. Just walk up to them and ask anything, and maybe even be bold and ask them out. If you think you have lots of social pressures, Asian men have even more and some are shy especially to other races since we get made fun of a lot so you would both of you a favor by approaching and just ask for coffee date. Oh yeah, it's more stupid if you don't ask and struggles.

I think a lot of it stems from the self-limiting belief of thinking that you're unable to date a girl of a certain race or the perception that a certain race of girls is unattracted to you simply for being Asian. If you've already internalized something that you believe to be true, then it starts off as defeatist because you've already made up your mind and are closed to having your beliefs challenged. Unless you go out and put those beliefs into practice to test whether those beliefs are true, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of negativity.

Its true though. They did surveys on dating apps and asian men were on the bottom of the totem pole of races women were attracted to. It has to do with the effeminization of asian men for decades in hollywood. Actors that were asian in hollywood were either unattractive goofy nerdy asexual comedians or the unromantic martial artists. I have asian friends who are tall and handsome and they never get matched on dating apps. Its always low tier white women interested in them. The best thing asian american men can do is go passport bros because its only an issue in the West.

Not true. A 2014 Ok Cupid study of dating preferences in women found that Asian males were considered to be the least desirable racial group among White men, Black men, and Latino men. This is largely due to Western media having portrayed Asian males as socially awkward and never casting them in leading male roles.

Hearing girls say those things as early as 10 years old can really mess with your head as you develop. Asian guy having grown up in Central Europe. We discussed interracial couples at the University maybe 15 years ago already. Now there are more and more Asians in this country including many Sri Lankans, Indians, Thai, Vietnamese, some Korean, Chinese and Japanese. Asian friends I know are usually dating anybody but Asian chicks. And on the side of the girls that was already the case, when we did surveys back in time. My sister married a German too and I never dated Asians, as they sneezed at my because of many things including height. The newer breed of Asians is now tall too thanks to changes in diet and thus they have much better card in the dating game. K-Pop and K-Dramas are very popular amongst the millenials and Gen-Z. Yet, let's not forget that the girls want exactly that K-pop boygroup look. Dating was always ultra tough for me, but I recognize, that younger generations have it easier. The local gyms are finally loaded with Asians, so it looks like "we" will do better than ever.

Grew up in public school, many different folks, Cambodian, Laotian, Algerian, Turkish, Portuguese...etc my first crush when I was a kid was that Cambodian boy, he taught me how to play with pokemon cards and marbles, he was the only one I would write about in my journal lol. Never really thought about race since we would play all together (one of my white friend even had a Moroccan boyfriend) until Junior high. People started hanging out by ethnic groups, Turkish, Mahgreb, White and Asian were the main groups, not much black kids where I lived. I met my best friend at that time, she was a Laotian girl. Her parents completely disagreed about our friendship, she was not even allowed to hang out with me at school because I was white lmao. We didn't care any ways, we were in the sports club together and ended up going to her house in secret. Her parents eventually accepted our friendship, realising I was no thug, and later even allowed me in their house. First, only in the living room and finally, we were allowed to be in her room lol we would listen to music, talk about our celebrity crush and manga. She was here for me when I ended up in a hospital because of mental health issues. She skipped school to visit my mom and ask about me even though her parents were very strict about education. I wish everyone to have such a friend. It's been years we didn't talk to each other but we will meet again when I'll go back to France. Love you Linda ❤

In result it gets me nervous and I just walk away since I really didn't expect those interactions to happen. But I'm not into white girls. I don't know if that's racist but, I want a girl that can age same pace as me and I like asian girl appearance in general. But it's true when you mention to your asian mom about dating a black girl just to see their reaction, you can see they get uncomfortable. It's kinda sad and funny at the same time. But my mom don't want me to date white girls either. She wants me to date asian. So I have only ever dated white women because that was really my only option. It feels more like a stereotype with self-inflicted limitations. I can't say for sure if its more difficult compared to dating an asian girl since I've never had any asian women around me that isn't family to date? I will say it was still pretty difficult to connect on a deeper level with the white women i've dated because they hadn't experienced a similar home life as mine so our conversations tended to not delve too deep into our upbringings.

I feel sorry for Asian guys who are into white women. That’s a tough game. As an Asian guy, I’m glad to find Asian women the most attractive.

Even if they are into white women that doesn't mean they are not gonna date with Asian women!!!🤦we all know Asian guys will just use white women for exotic experience

I am a white gen x female and I am open to Asian men for sure. I had an asian boyfriend and he was great. You guys are good enough on your own, you don't need to cuss. Just an observation.

From a Caribbean/South-American growing up in the States now living in EU. I had a "no Asian" policy when I was young and a lot of girls around me did. I would say it's a mixture of bad relationship between Asians that settled in my Island (before I moved) and the locals. When I did move to the States there were not a lot of Asians in my area and I do think the States influence plays a big role. I don't know where the rumour that Asian men are small started and I can't anything on the subject but I can say this is a big reason why Caribbean women don't date Asian men. I started watching K-dramas and moved on to C-dramas and it definitely changed my perspective😅😅 you get into it for the story and you stay for the actors😂

as a white man, I found this interesting to see what "the other side" deals with, and how big/little some issues are

It's just general preferences. I think most Chinese won't pursue Indian or black in general over a big sample size.

It’s not hard for asian men to attract women that aren’t asian. I see it more now than ever before. There are so many factors to this conversation it would take months to even come up with a half ass explanation that is probably going to be based off of stereotypes and stigmas. There are plenty of Asian men who have non Asian women. You just don’t see them as much because america has about 3% Asian population. Naturally you will see the larger demographic such as white,Hispanic and black in an interracial relationship.

I see Asian women with white men everywhere! So the 3% argument doesn't make sense!

Damn. I got disowned for a while for speaking up “ I don’t plan dating Hmong girls”.( I grew up in strictly traditional hmong household) also “ I planning dating/marriage other Asian women and other race.”

I think that’s the key point, nerds hang with nerds, jocks with jocks, and so forth. There was only like 7 other Asian kids in my school. It was mostly white, Mexican, and natives (and like 3 black kids). We all hung out with each other based on interests.

my whole life I always wanted to have friends from all different races. I am white, female, and I would not consider myself that great looking but...segway, I always thought that would be so neat because I love to learn about different cultures as I don't really have one. I may be Texan but I mean it's like what could I share "Hey Y'all, it's city life, pretty much the same everywhere?" So I feel like I miss out on a lot. But I always felt like if I tried to approach someone of a different race than me, that it was like...whoa what are you doing here? I do hope one day we can all just be friends and stuff and it doesn't matter, because I think that would be really awesome.
