Excellent video. We walked it S to N and loved it. Thank you.

i (almost) did it as a teenager (S to N) but got really bad food poisoning from Llangollen Youth Hostel...after 3 days laid up in a tent I retreated home. 40+ years later it is still on my list of things to finish!

Do you recommend the offas dyke path sir and how were the cows? Thanks

Cows are much the same anywhere, these were ok, you try to keep a low profile and look uninteresting, but the way I deal with them is if they group and follow you too actively be prepared to turn and face them and scare them off. It’s a good walk, nice having the theme of the Dyke to follow.

Yes that was a point I was making. Also I highly recommend Hadrians Wall Path that goes across coast to coast with much of it on or next the the remaining Wall . Plenty to interest history buffs , easy walking , very well served by bus service so brilliant for walking in stages , plenty of affordable accommodation. It’s one of my favourite Long Distance Footpaths
