I couldn't imagine being stuck in a cubicle with a niche task. And yes, we're all a lot like Lawrence. This is so relatable. As someone else said, this is more of a documentary that captures the pain and humor of life working at an office. Truly no other movie identifies so much to many as this one does. It has to be one of my all-time favorite movies, higher than Idiocracy.
@torstenscholz6243 Жыл бұрын
It's the film simply everyone who ever had a dull office job *must* have seen. It also started off the trend of office-related comedy shows and films. The Office, which was also a great show in its own way, premiered two years later, and while the style of comedy was of course very different, the influence is obvious. And in one of the early episodes of The Office they even mention a Mr Gibbons - coincidence? I think not.

The cast was perfect especially him, the fact that he gave up a job to do something that made him happy was just icing on the cake. The rest is/was a lot of peoples reality. I wonder if he knows how popular it actually is! Poor marketing put it into early DVD release and many people i know still have an office space night once a year to watch with friends.

By "off set", do you mean "non black cast/produced" or "hood/urban" movie? Because I can name 10 films that had an all hip-hop/rap soundtrack made before this. However, none of them featured a mainly white production and cast.... I'm not trying to start a race thing here, but... yeah, there were a LOT of films made early-mid nineties that had an all hip-hop sundtrack. And the only thing I can find different about this film to them is the "targeted" demographic ;) Even if "off set" means "non soundstage", you are way off...
