Had to take down the other video because of the copy right claim in the background, however, I hope this helps those trying to transition into a similar role!!

Hey, I would love a video on Do’s and Don’t. I plan on taking my NCLEX soon, but not sure if I’ll make the new grad nurse board cut off in July. Appreciate all the information you put out, thank you!

Didn’t know the process was tedious until watching your video. I’m 23 and a registered nurse. I reached out to my recruiter on January 18th. And it’s been a month and no reply LOL. I did follow up via nurse corps email.

It's a goal of mine to be a military nurse. I'm not sure if I want to go active or not. How old were you when you applied? I started nursing as a second career in my 30s. I've only been a nurse for 18 months, but all of it is level-1 critical care, and I just recently took on a per diem ED gig aswell. Are other branches less competitive? Do you think the military will increase their numbers due to the potential conflict with Russia?

i deeply apologize for seeing this now. I have been really busy and trying to catch up with all the comments only to realize there are hundreds of comments i need to comb through. You are at a prime age to be honest. I came in at 34. I'm loving it and i wouldnt wanna change anything about it. some people are different. you may want more experience or what not or even explore other options. because of my age, and having done everything i wanted to in my 20s i am happy with my decision because it provides stability and a means to grow even more in my career. I plan on doing the full 20 and will be 55 once i hit the age of retirement with the air force. a great career field if you wanna do a lot and grow!

Hey brother, I have a question, do you know if Guselkumab is one of the medications in the disqualification category regarding psoriasis? sorry, I don’t have access and I don’t want to tell or ask any recruiters. thanks
@genesis.kts_2 жыл бұрын
i don't believe so. the best way to mitigate this is to get a waiver from your pcp saying that this won't disqualify you from joining the air force. if they ask, at least you will have the waiver to back you up. this shouldn't disqualify you.

I tried to apply to the air force but they said I couldn’t join because my degree for nursing is from the Philippines

it has changed as of recent. do you have any ER or ICU experience, if so do you have your CCRN and/or tcen?

it will take time. we call it hurry up and wait! i would give it 1-2 weeks before reaching out again. that was the same with me, they have people who drop out regularly and they will prioritize people who want to advance so always follow up.

how was your meeting?

sounds way harder than you'd expect. Plus advanced degree needed? Jeez.
@genesis.kts_ Жыл бұрын
it was hard. no advanced degree needed. It just makes you more competitive. Pick your level of hard and stick to it.
