I’m a black woman, 23. My parents and grandparents have taught me to respect cops but to also know my rights. I got pulled over a month ago because , my lights weren’t on. It was the nicest interaction I had all year. Two very nice cops, thankfully they let me off and I thanked them for their kindness. This makes me very sad. I’ve met some bad cops, but the nice ones wipe all the stereotypes away. Please don’t let this woman’s actions speak for all of us. Just comply with the cops, but learn your rights.

I'm watching this in 2023. I googled the incident, and the very sad truth is that back then, in 2020, everybody took this as a harassment by police officer. The family was giving interviews about this "horrific attack" and they were claiming that they are not safe as long as this officer is on duty. Media of course took their side. Not a single good word about officer from the media and there were main media covering this. This is sick! Local police had to launch the internal investigation. Local police and government HAD TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES. This is crazy. There's nothing to be explained for everyone with a brain who's watching it.

Isn’t she technically interfering with an investigation?
@justinrducharme4 жыл бұрын
Not technically. But when the family came out and the driver got out it became a matter of safety for the officer. When people shoot cops they don’t say they’re going to do it, they act like they’re not going to do anything and try to catch them off guard. While she wasn’t directly interfering with the traffic stop she introduced a new layer of unpredictability that prevented the officer from safely returning to her car to write the ticket until backup arrived. IMO.

@@justinrducharme I mean lets be honest, I don't see any real threat her you got 2 obese parents some 19 year old kid that looks like he just stepped out of a department store with new clothes on, a nice Cadillac in the driveway, 2 other cars in the driveway plus the kids car on the street, nice house no one ever reached for anything they had all of the papers ready to go they clearly stated please just give us the ticket. Sure, the mom was being a douchebag and super loud and overly protective of her kid. I don't see why she couldn't just get in her car and write the ticket. I mean, I'm not a violent person and I've been pulled over 7 times in my life, there's not one time that I couldn't have had a gun in my glove box or tucked under the seat, after giving my insurance and crap to the officer when they start coming back to the car bang shot to the head dead they'd never see it. It's honestly 1,000% more dangerous for that kid to be in his car where he could easily get a weapon out. It's much harder for him or anyone there to pull a weapon when they're standing out in the open. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the cop did a bad job, but I think both parties over reacted just to see what the other party is going to do. You have a pissed off mom screaming and yelling hoping the cop does something for a quick lawsuit, and you have a cop sitting there doing nothing waiting for the moment the mom passes the line so she can arrest her or do whatever. I just don't see why writing a ticket is such a hard thing to do. You're a cop and it's 2020 your life is always in danger. Maybe we need to invest in some bullet proof cars for the police so they don't have to feel like sitting ducks if they get into their vehicle.

I remember being a marine security force officer on a air craft carrier, you have to have patience , try dealing with drunk sailor that been out at sea for 3 months and hit port. Don’t know how many drunk sailors want to try and touch the marines weapon, your have to be calm. But more than a few take it to far and end up in the brig on ship cause they were warned then end up taking a butt of a rifle to the head. Glad I only had to deal with it once.

Adam Williams She does believe it even after the entire recording was released they are going through with the complaint and has now stopped communicating with the Pd. They have a lawyer, Ben Crump, the same one that represented the families of Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, and others.... They said they don’t accept the Pd’s apology(idk why they even issued one) and they want the officer fired. The mom said the officer is still out there with a gun and she doesn’t feel safe because of it. It’s pretty sad that her brain has this racist and skewed filter when viewing the entire stop and just in general. She doesn’t even know that it is all literally in her head, thank you MSM, stupid athletes, stupid music entertainers, and so on.

Miss Dee what had been the public reaction to the recording? I can’t find it on Twitter. Are people supporting her version of events?
@missdee51694 жыл бұрын
Greta Hunt I think it was Sac Bee that wrote an article saying they asked local leaders in the community that believed the officer did nothing wrong but because of other officers encounters that end in shootings then it is understandable that she would initially react out of fear for her son’s life. This officer continues to stop people at that exact stop sign and other people that have been stopped by her say she was nice and their stops lasted 5 mins without incident. I read another article that said people believe that she could have tried de-escalating the situation but half of them thought if she did then it probably would have had the opposite effect. I could not find anything that said anyone supported her way of thinking other the people saying f the police, it’s a black man so they probably would have shot him if the mom wasn’t there...you know, people who think every interaction ends in a shooting.
