Can you please explain question 30? That one was kind of hard... I wonder what all CAN come on the August SAT looking at some of these concepts... I thankfully knew the Box and Whisker thing, but what to do with Q30?
@gosnimm76244 жыл бұрын
Hi, im not sure if i can help but this is how i solved. There are 3 triangles the whole triangle od the outside and the inside. Since the triangles are proportional, you can set up an equation. The largest triangle, the hypotenuse is 4+x and has a side of 5. And the inside of the triangle, which has a hypotenuse of 5 and a side of 4. Now you can create an equation 4+x/5=5/4. Cross multiply to get the x. 4(4+x)=25. 16+4x=25. 4x=9.x=2.25. The question is asking us the x coordinate of p. Watch out for this one, just because the x is 2.25 doesnt mean its 2.25. 4+2.25=6.25. So the answer is 6.25. Im sorry if this didnt help you.

Can someone please explain to be Number 9: It says the in 1929 is when the sediment begun which caused the -1700 per year. So why does the test say we should begun to deduct from 1928 when in reality it was not reducing from 300k UNTIL 1929 due to the other river. Can someone please explain since I initially thought it was an error or mistake on behalf of the SAT test makers. thanks

For question number 4, isn't option B sketchy considering the fact that they would be interviewing a "group" of 300 individuals in a survey which could lead to biased results as people's opinions might get influenced by others. Or am I inferring too much?

@@ScalarLearning why it has to be less than 4?
@gosnimm76244 жыл бұрын
@@argogh6813 Hey, I don't know if this will help you, but I found the answer this way: Since there are 10 players and got a mean score of 4, it must be x/10=4. To solve x, you can cross multiply and get x=40, which is the total. If half of the players, which are 5 players, get a mean score of 5, the x would be 25 because x/5=5. To find the rest, you have to subtract the score from the total: 40-25=15. Since there are 5 players remained, it is simply just 15/5=3. The answer is less than 4, so it's A. Hope this helped you; sorry if it didn't.
