I tear up every time I hear this song. this song wasn't only written for his son but, for every father out there that doesn't get to spend the time they want to spend with their child. I'm going through a divorce and I only get to see my son on the weekends. I miss him so much that it hurts. the line " you're the weight of his anchor and the love that is guiding him home " rings so true for me. I absolutely love this song and it has become yet, another one of my favorites from coheed and cambria.

Danielle Jordan I don't know.. Gerard Way was pretty damn good at writing songs and graphic novels. Claudio's got a bit of a competition, but it's a rare find. But whenever that creativeness exists in a player, the band is usually amazing.

7StarVoltstorm But, but.....Claudio is not in competition with Gerard Way. I was a My Chem fan back in the day but quickly got bored with their music. I checked out some of his graphic novel work but it tended to be seperate from his music- I did dig the concept behind Bullets and Three Cheers though. Claud had a concept for 7 albums, pretty impressive.

The noise scared his parents and they came running out to check the disturbance and they find him sitting on the floor in his underwear writing this song

Hey Ty. To use a word borrowed from my and your beloved Brother/Father respectively; FRANKLY it's been too cold to look for the Mason paraphernalia but I WILL find it (If I'm supposed to) Meanwhile here's a bit-o-trivia ala Mason. Who was a 33rd Rite Scottish Mason who also walked on the Moon? I think NASA's full of them anyway. No Googling =no fair is what I'm thinkin'...._...Now that I've mulled it over A bit I think No Google besides It's just a game & if you Google'd It'd be cheating!. Just name one, any. I'd never prove if you did nor would I question. I do know your standard of honor. "Nuff said." I may have wasted all Those words because you probably already know. Still fun though. BTW A director of NASA around the same time was too. 33rd I'm sure u know #33 permeates NASA as well? Of course you do. Runways, Logo play ect. HEY! I Came up with two words that aren't in the dictionary but should be: "Googling & Google'd (The Apostrophe does it) :Like my duck n dodge tactic in attempt to draw attention from not yet finding the box -o-goodies? Oh! I'm sorry, The whole moon thing "We never went" Was all faked on a sound stage, EVERY TIME!!! (I choking back an outright gut laugh almost lost my spleen) Conspiracy theory's ROCK mostly cuz dey''s DUMB!!! I'll prove we went If someone proves we didn't HA, CANNOT BE DONE. Either one.
@ClayRodgers196110 жыл бұрын
If you haven't already you may like to look into NASA's incorporation of the #33 and almost invisible incorporation tactics that they use to sort of "Hide in plain sight" if you will, Masonic icons in to It's logos, it is truly amazing an almost artful beauty! Look at the first A in NASA on the shuttle.(I believe its the first A) Then the shuttle uses only runway #33. That's just barely the iceberg's tip, there are many, many more. I don't know if this means anything ominous or not. It's probably as benign as NASA happens to be ran by all Masons; or not quite as benign but still harmless; it's a prerequisite to work for NASA. Either way It just seems kinda cool for some reason. I believe its the mystery of it. I know you've heard well my Masonic Theory, as loosely assembled as it may be, but in case you haven't already figured this; being a very perceptive young man who was taught my the best (Your Father) to always look past the false shield we Humans present to each other and read the truth behind it. My bluster is for fun and projected from the "Devils advocate" seat I enjoy occupying way too often. Reason being, it always stimulates good banter which I also indulged in too much. I know it can be annoying. All that aside, I truly have no I'll will for the organization. Up front it all seems pointed in the direction of the improvement of the greater good. How can that be bad? In retrospect my issue sits squarely on the power that American money has over even law and Government, or maybe more accurately American big money is law and Government...? I stop there to ovoid the label "Conspiracy theorist" I ride that line too closely as it is. Not to mention my over use of punctuation to attemt the illusion of writing in a conversation style- oh, and lack of segues. Fair enough my Nephew?

I used to think Coheed and Cambria was "OK" with maybe a good song or two on every album. However, after Ascension and Dissension I couldn't believe how amazing the entirety of both albums was. This "work in progress" is testament to the maturity and value of this band and this man as musicians. Every musician has a period of mid-life crises where they either succeed and move forward, or end their carrier. Clearly Coheed has places to go and music to write! Keep up the amazing music, you truly inspire me!

[Verse 1] We carried on, unnoticed Thinking that all dreams were ours for the taking And out of that, we found ourselves back at the start of it all So scarred and incomplete Only now, I've come to this moment in my life Fitting pieces to a puzzle with no regrets But if I had just one chance left I'd hold on to her close, with what little confidence I have And make no mistakes, as your life's surely about to change For the better half Now, on your marks, get set, clock starts to count 'Cause boy, everything's about to go down [Chorus] So sleep tight, little Atlas 'Cause when your daddy goes off, just you know That you're the weight of his anchor The love that is guiding him home The love that's guiding him home [Verse 2] Oh, I've had my share of leaving this retreat But never did it once feel anything like you, you see And if there's one good thing that comes from my away It's that you won't be anything like me Oh, and so better for it, you will be [Chorus] So sleep tight, little Atlas 'Cause when your daddy goes off, just you know That you're the weight of his anchor The love that is guiding him home The love that's guiding him home The love that's guiding him home The love that's guiding him home The love that's guiding him home [Bridge] So sleep tight, little Atlas 'Cause when your daddy goes off, just you know That you're the weight of his anchor The love that is guiding him home [Chorus] So sleep tight, little Atlas 'Cause when your daddy goes off 'Cause when your daddy goes off That you're the weight of his anchor The love that is guiding him home [Outro] There's no running away from what's been done, here Will you sink with the ship, or will you burn it down? Now, give us the man that you've been hiding 'Cause this is your, this is your life, this is your life, now There's no running away from what's been done, here Will you sink with the ship, or will you burn it down? Claudio, Please continue to put out these absolutely wonderful Acoustic videos. There has been nothing but joy in me since finding Sentry, and now Atlas will be joining it in my heart. Your lyrics and melodies speak to me in such profound ways that they stick longer than all others. Truly I feel you and the guys have done nothing but improve your already incredible talents to create...that's it, you Create. A world with which to listen, to love, and for some to live in. World's so in depth for Us to explore and carve out our own existence. You speak truth in the stories you tell, whether of Love, Betrayal, or Hell. The stories of characters that you brought to life in your songs will and have echoed throughout the earth. So this just a portion of the ever growing admiration I have for you all. The hard work truly does show and you deserve to know it. Those of us who matter most are those of us who'll stick by what you do and who you Are no matter what difficult times may lie ahead. It's not likely you'll ever read this Claudio, but I just wanted you to know that what you have done, not just you of course, has made such a positive, and powerful impact upon my life. I just wanted to thank you. For everything. Please don't stop doing what feels right for Coheed and Cambria. To be totally honest, I would have to say this is the best thing I've heard from Claudio since Good Apollo: Volume I, and possibly even IKSSE3. That even sounds odd coming from myself considering the depth of my love for this band and the fact that there are so many amazing songs that have been brought to life since the time of those releases. But there's just something about the way this song is structured, as well as the way Claudio sings it, that hearkens back to the days when I was first discovering Coheed and Cambria and they became a permanent and completely unique fixture in my perception of what constitutes undeniably great music. If this is any prelude to what I can expect from their next album, a sound that delivers the sense of old Coheed energy merged with new, I will be one extremely satisfied fan.

Oh, Claudio. This was so beautiful. There's something so powerful and amazing about parenthood that nothing else can come close to comparing to. I am so glad you and Chonny get to experience that pure perfect joy. :) Thanks for making me cry.
