Me and my family have went throughout the catskills region as my dad used to work in Upper Saddle Creek NY. The region is epic, espically if you take the mountain top roads that lead you into random small towns from the US Canadian border. These towns are decades behind but still look quaint in the winter ( plus you avoid tolls and have an epic view of the winter mountains)! I might road trip to Toronto and pass there sometime in the future to visit my family and enjoy the nice rural roads!
