To be fair (something Jim never is when it comes to "girls wrestling" ) , if the Women's rumble came first, he'd have said that it ruined the Men's because everyone saw everything already done, but by girls. Also, this year they managed it better than usual, since two similar events but with a different outcome happened (first person in the rumble is one of the final 2) , which worked.

@@benjamin0089 Kinda: i mean, it was really weird to have the Men's rumble as first match no matter what and i was not a fan of that, even if I ended up loving the event. The issue with the Women's Royal Rumble is result of how they book the women in general. Outside of the title program, there is rarely anything for the women. There are no consistent storylines for the women outside of the title programs. The only reason Ripley is over is because she is in a men's storyline with the Judgement Day. Emma/Tenille is a good wrestler, they just have had nothing for her.

And they just need a better roster. The women I like to see on my screen are Rhea, Becky, Charlotte, Rhonda, Bailey and by proximity damage control, I don’t mind Liv, love Bianca and that’s about it. The rest are either okay or god fucking awful and WWE should write blank checks to Sasha and Naomi

I was kind of disappointed there were no surprises entrees initially(even Booker T really wasn’t because it was teased on the NXT the week prior). Don’t get me wrong, I love realism in wrestling as much as possible in terms of story and logic. The doctors coming out at the end would’ve made it better but it’s not the NFL so leaving them there laid out in the ring is still a great visual. We need to remember that the second two wrestlers go from a lock up into one of them bouncing off the ropes to run into a clothesline, it isn’t realistic. Pro wrestling is my favourite form of daily entertainment and I love and respect it but it is ridiculous, cheesy and obviously a work. As long as the story invokes emotion then that’s what matters. When it comes to Bray, you either like it or not but it’s no more ridiculous than Undertaker, Kane’s supernatural powers or Hogan not selling punches he sold a few minutes earlier. It might have been done better back then but it’s noting new. The WWE has always had a dark side since the early 90s.

I don't think Bray or the writers know what to do after. They seemingly write on a week-to-week basis and occasionally plan out how they'll get to the next PPV.
