@@richardgrayson5359 Well that's because you don't want to see the truth. The first fight he uses fake tough guy gimmick by not shaking his opponent's hand and trying to look tough at the press conference only to get completely humiliated. And his opponent was specifically picked for him to beat, the guy at the time was completely new and was a former bread truck driver. His second fight was arguably even more humiliating, getting his ass kicked by a photographer... an arrogant one at that who taunted him throughout the fight. Punk didn't land a single strike in either of his two fights, so it's not just losing, its how he lost. Another thing is that he used name to unfairly take a spot from an actual MMA fighter and made millions doing so, he didn't deserve to be there. And it still hurts him to this day. His entitled, frail, old behind being in the same ring as a Roman Reigns no longer seems believable.

People also shouldn't forget that Triple H was once knowned for his "golden shovel", a term where he buried his opponents who were vying for his spot, it was also confirmed that him and pal ol' hickenbottom tried to bury a young Rock when Bret Hart saw potential in him (one of the few) and protected him until he was a big enough name for Vince to polish him into the megastar. Triple H was also renowned for looking down on wrestlers who came from the indies until he took over NXT, made it what it was today that people forgot all his past sins, the moment he was interviewed about how he nearly died, and how emotional he got, made me realise Triple H changed, he became wiser, he stopped politicking, he stopped looking down on indie guys, his close bond he developed with Ciampa and Gargano made him understand better about wrestlers who came from the indies, he is now Triple H the professional boss who went from being rejected to being accepted.

But would you still like the Opie and Anthony HHH interviews? 2001 (just before WM17, when he references being there for each other. He also discusses his encounter with Goldberg from 2000. I think a caller asked about it.) January 2002 (Hyping up his upcoming return and talks about Stephanie. I think this is the one they ask about his thoughts on her boob job). March 2002 (Hyping up WM18. This might be the one HHH cracks up telling the guys the story of Embarrassing Stephanie when he popped her boob out on the pedigree tease). December 2004 (Promotes his book, promotes NYR PPV, goes in detail about confronting Goldberg in 2003 when he signed, HHH shares a story about a time a guy in WCW tried to shoot on him in the ring and HHH took him down, then cussed him out in the back) HHH is a ball buster. This was absolutely brilliant by WWE. It’s clearly hard to keep anything secret and a surprise in pro wrestling now, but it can be done when the parties involved are committed to PROFESSIONALISM and loving their business. It made everything better, it made a really good show a great show, and made me look forward to everything more. C M Punk can have a great last main event run now, like he warrants and deserves. Just look at the confrontations, feuds and matches we could have now to add to what we had: Punk v Rollins, Punk v Roman Reigns, Punk v Cody Rhodes. And everyone, Judgment Day, Orton, Drew McIntyre, everybody, looks better and looks a bigger star, with Punk also in the mix. That’s what it’s about. Fantastic work by Triple H. Obviously they didn’t get on and fell out badly, but a lot has happened in everybody’s life since then, especially Triple H very nearly dying, so l think that puts everything that went on in the proper perspective. That was a great day, and it’s going to be guaranteed great, must watch around the world over the next several years.

The greatest lesson Vince may have showed HHH is to never let personal beef get in the way of business. I don't have to like or love you to make money and while I think there could still be some tension between HHH and Punk, neither is dumb enough to let that stop them from getting that bag. And the top guys in WWE (Roman, Cody, Seth, Drew, Orton) all guys heavily influenced by Vince and/or HHH know that too. They'll work with Punk cause it benefits them.

It's interesting that not many knew about the return. There's potential for the heat to heal up and I imagine WWE makes sure there's 0 beef to where fights happen similar to the AEW fights with Punk and they'll make sure the beef between wrestlers is basically I don't like you and you don't like me but we need to put the beef aside until one of us leave the company or retire. Triple H feels like a real boss while TK which I like AEW but TK feels more like a fan than an actual boss

I think more people knew than they’re letting on. There have been way too many hints from way too many different people. It shows just how tight the WWE crew is that they kept this locked down while still teasing us enough to think it might happen.
